I remember there was a joke just like this in Futurama when Bender took over the Earth and was exterminating all organics. "Ok, I'm low on ammo, so everyone scooch together."
I recently learned, a grenade wouldn’t ignite like that unless A) The gun’s caliber was high enough to pierce through the shell B) The gunshot managed to hit the tiny starter charge at the center of the grenade Now, since we see Wade has one bullet go through skull six times without much loss of momentum, we can assume it’s a very high-power gun, so A) is most definitely met, but not necessarily B), since we see it kind of hit the side of the shell. However, since the grenade was already in its priming stage, what would most likely happen is that the impact would make the thug drop the grenade, and assuming the whole contents don’t spill before the primer ignites the charge, it would explode by their feet. Now, weirdly enough, it would be *better* for Wade if the gun didn’t pierce the shell, since all it would do is force the guy to drop it without spilling any of the explosive, making it explode with maximum destructive power.
that's cool, but his scream when the guy with the machine gun shoots at him through the window is what gets me. so many brilliant moments in that sequence, tbh.
