My father was a transmission builder for many years. He owned his own shop since before I was born in 1974. I worked with him for many years. One of my duties was to clean all the transmission parts in the solvent tank. He would always tell me if the parts are not clean enough to eat spaghetti off of them then I don't have them clean enough. I always liked it when the solvent was replaced with new fresh solvent. It was much easier to clean up the parts
Wow, if only spaghetti were the secret ingredient in a perfectly functioning transmission! I guess that means your dad's transmissions were always "pasta-tively" clean!
