Nice build. I'm intending to build a walipini of 72'x24', and I reckon that gothic arches are the way to go. Great when people don't over complicate projects, as life's too short.
Yes these plans would be amazing for a walipini. Good luck with that. Here's a link to the plans I used: www.lsuagcenter.com/portals/our_offices/departments/biological-ag-engineering/extension/building_plans/horticultural/greenhouse/gothic-rafter-greenhouse
Hi. Iv just watched your series of vids on the restoration. Very impressed. I also built a bow shed recently, but saved a lot of money by shortening the actual lenght of the shed, and instead of raising it on footings, I built it on two tracks, allowing me to move it along my project when necessary. Maybe a thought for the future. Good luck with the new boat. Regards Jack from Ireland
@@TheDuracellProject afraid I never had plans of any sort, I just used levelled concrete sections, 5 x 3 inch depth and width on top of a line of 9 inch solid blocks. Tin plate on top of this, and 6x 9inch fiberglass casters for the structure to run on.
I was hoping you wouldn't change the dog house . That is what made "Duracell" so recognizable. In your first video the camera panned along the boat from the ground allowing just a glance at the dog house roof and I said: Duracell ! and then that scooped transom, I said Yes! I knew it! Duracell.
Beautiful shed mate, a wee bit open at the ends though. A friend rebuilt a 40' in a hand built shed on Lake Superior, wicked cold place Duluth is, solar heating helps when the sun is out but probably not much of that there.
How has this structure held up? I seen some of your newer videos you're still working under it, are you happy with it? Anything you would've changed? Thinking of this style for a greenhouse. Thanks
I like it a lot. The only thing I would change is making it longer, which I probably will do. It’s great. Doesn’t leak, no maintenance, sheds rain and snow. It’s great/
Hi Matt, I am looking to build a bow shed over Chance for the long term part of Chance's restoration are there any plans for the design and specification for the size. Regards Simon Papendick Chance restoration project
here are the plans I used! www.lsuagcenter.com/portals/our_offices/departments/biological-ag-engineering/extension/building_plans/horticultural/greenhouse/gothic-rafter-greenhouse
Wow, brilliant design ! Light and strong. Do you plan on closing the extremities ? I left my left my winter car shelter open and it created a wind tunnel, allmost lost it a couple of times.
About $2000 in materials. It's 20 by 20 by 20. Here's the plans: www.lsuagcenter.com/portals/our_offices/departments/biological-ag-engineering/extension/building_plans/horticultural/greenhouse/gothic-rafter-greenhouse
The way the shed was built sets the trend on how seriously you took this massive undertaking!
Oh wow, having a shed to cover your project is brilliant and makes life so much easier. Plus it’s a work of art in itself!

How clever-love that! I would love to see plans or pictures of the track system.

That's awesome you can form the arches like that, had no idea

Jumping in now, can't wait to see how this goes.
We can’t wait either, it’s gonna be a long process.
Neat arch construction. Perhaps you will extend it to enable more work in bad weather.
I loved watching that shed go up and the result was a work of art!
It's very elegant looking.
that's one beautifully made and aesthetic Bow Shed.
I think Mike P. would approve. Well done TDP!
Thank you for saying that, I often wonder what he would think.
@@TheDuracellProject I get the feeling that you are doing this in Mike's memory, at least partly?
I watch your videos in Cologne - Germany. I'm waiting for the next videos. Wish you much success.
Thanks for watching! We’re planning on releasing one every Wednesday.
Hello from an equally wet Scotland ! Looking forward to seeing this project take shape. Good luck!!
Hey there Scotland! Thanks for following along.
Fantastic content Matt. I can't wait to see the finished product as you are such a clever guy.
Thank you. It’s gonna be a while, but I’m excited to see it too.
Nice job on the boat house…quick and built from engineered plans.
Projects go quickly when you've done it numerous times. Otherwise, it's a slow learning project.
That is so amazing Matt. That should keep the rain out while you work on your project.
Thanks Mimi :-). It’s working great so far.
Shoooweee doggy!! When's the merch hitting stores, I need a new t-shirt!!
Hold your horses diggity dog! You want a t-shirt made outta some old sails? We might be able to make that for you.
bespoke fiberglass hoodies 🤙🏼

Thanks man. Yeah the wind and rain are the problem here. I like the design a lot and i think it will have many uses in the future.
Love the project/channel/approach - learning lots, thanks to you guys!
cool, thanks Ewan, and welcome aboard
Matt you are so talented! I am really impressed and enjoying following this project!!!
Thanks so much Linda! We’re glad you’re enjoying it.
Nice job on a cool shed design. Hope it does the job for you 👍👍☺️
Works great so far! Hopefully it won’t blow away!
Interesting project, Looking forward to seeing more
Thank you, there’s a lot to show.
Love the videos, Sailing Melody put me on to you. 👍
Welcome aboard, Andrew!
Interesting build I was wondering how you did it. Thank for the video explanation.
Great shed!
Thanks you!
I have interest in this build too
That looks great! And you can add on to it later if you need too!
Exactly. It will be very easy to expand if necessary, I think it will also make a great tiny home in the future.
looks good!
Thanks, I think so too.
what is the material for the roofing sheet?
Hi, what is the red-hulled boat in the shed about the 3:28 mark? It looks a little like a Viper, but I think it's something different.
That's a little go-fast boat I built about 10 years ago. I'll tell ya more about it in the next episode!
Huge boat. Curious what you are going to make out of it. Good luck!!
Very big boat, and project. Thank you for watching.
Matt, where did you source the 20’ 1x4s? I’m in NW Washington and looking to build a similar shed. Thanks!
i bought 20' two by fours from the local lumber store and ripped them.

Twenty by twenty by twenty!
