      Whenever I saw a Falcons game, what always stood out to me were the empty seats. The fanbase also gave up on this team, but not as hard as the Panthers fanbase did. With the Bucs and Saints also not filling to capacity, the NFC South is dying.

      Many including myself felt that they played way over their heads in 2022, and so the regression this season wasn't too surprising. The only reason why they weren't in the conversation for most fraudulent NFL team last season was because of what the Vikings did.

    • @charlesbarkley223
      @charlesbarkley223 10 месяцев назад +1

      @thekingbarrelmaker7642 You mean what Daniel Jones and the Giants did to the Vikings. The Giants weren't frauds at all in 2022 they beat peer tier teams, lost to a few also, and lost to the top teams. In 2023 we opened the season vs Dallas, AZ, San Fran, Seattle, Miami, Buffalo... and everyone got hurt week 1 Andrew Thomas, Barkley the rest of the Oline went down by week 3 and DJ went down week 5. The Bills, Jets, 1st Eagles game, and Rams games all could have been wins and the refs really gave the bills and jets wins tbh. All things considered it was a disappointing year but not top 5 disappointing, Giants fans love to bash the team though. Watch they'll be back in the playoffs next year.

    The Jags implosion reminded me heavily of the 2008 Jets team that also were 8-3 and could've won out as the number one seed (since Tennessee beat Pittsburgh later that year) and ended up imploding after Farve regressed due to that injured shoulder he was playing with. As a Jets fan that season was one of the most painful ones I've ever witnessed.

    My theory on the Chargers is playing 17 away games (minus jet lag for half) will put any team at a disadvantage and will doom them in LA until they can surpass the WNBA team in popularity.

    Seahawks should be on this list. I expected them to be able to compete with the Niners for the NFC West title. Instead they finished with the same record as last year and the run defense was just as atrocious. I hope we get it right with the coaching hire though.

  • @NickTG29
    @NickTG29 8 месяцев назад

    Here's MY list
    1. Chargers (expected record: 9-8 vs real record: 5-12)
    I kind of figured they'd be a little bit lost in the AFC with Kansas City, Miami, Cincinati, Jacksonville, Baltimore, Jets, and Pittsburgh, along with Buffalo, Indianapolis, Houston, and Cleveland, but I expected them to be where the Colts were around.
    Keenan Allen didn't disappoint, and Khalil Mack played amazing, but Justin Herbert and especially Austin Ekeler were very underwhelming.
    2. Vikings (expected: 14-3 vs real record: 7-10)
    Kirk Cousins and Justin Jefferson got hurt, and Dalvin Cook went to the Jets, so that part is excusable, but Kevin O'Conell is most to blame in my opinion, when Josh Dobbs threw 4 picks vs Chicago, 3 of them weren't his fault, the backup WR's & TE's can't catch shit, and for god sakes let him run the ball.
    3. Jets (expected record: 10-7 vs real record: 7-10)
    They looked decent despite Zach Wilson playing awful in 2022, especially with Mike White, I could see them as a playoff team, but what really hurt them is they sold out to buy Rodgers, so the expectations were through the roof, but Rodgers got hurt, and not to mention even with Rodgers, they didn't look that great to begin with. I though, expected them to get the 6th playoff seed, with PIT at #5, and either Buffalo, my team (Indy), Baltimore, Houston, or Cleveland, but no.
    4. Panthers (expected record 9-8 vs real record: 2-15)
    Just when they were getting better, they blow all of their money for Bryce Young instead of possibly having Will Levis or Anthony Richardson, who would've been perfect for them because of his Cam Newton-like style, instead, they cost us Andrew Luck 2.0, sent him to the rival, and blew their season in the process.
    5. Giants (expected record 9-8 vs real record: 6-11)
    The Brian Daboll rebuild that took less than 1 year was absolutely wasted (although he's a great coach still) Daniel Jones went back to playing like garbage, Saquon Barkley is gone, they have no WR's, their O-Line, yeah, nuff said, defense, not good either (minus Okereke and Dexter), however, I will give credit where credit is due, if not for bad clock management in week 6 and a penalty that should've happened, the PI call that they did in week 7 (worst game of all time IMO), and the missed kick in week 17, they actually could've had back to back winning seasons.
    6. Falcons (expected record: 10-7) no question, that was their division, New Orleans and Tampa Bay were going to be close, but with the easy schedule they had, easily it was their year to win the NFC south.
    Not to mention they have a talented offense like Bijan, Alligier, Drake London, and Pitts, but Kirk Cousins next year should take them to a new level, but Ridder was rough.
    7. Patriots
    Eh, not really recordwise, but I expected there to be something cool with Zeke and Rhamondre, there wasn't.
    8. Vikings
    I thought they were going 13-4 once again, but I'll give them some sympathy with Kirk Cousins and Justin Jefferson getting hurt, not to mention Dalvin Cook left, but Josh Dobbs looked decent, and when he threw 4 INT's vs Chicago, that wasn't all his fault, the receivers couldn't catch (Minus Osborn and Hockenson), and Kevin O'Connell should've had him run a little bit.

    Maybe you can say the Vikings and Bengals season were derailed by injuries. But in both cases if they didn't play like trash before those injuries to their QBs occurred both those teams probably would've still made the playoffs. So it wasn't just those injuries, something was rotten from the beginning- especially with the Vikings, who started 0-4 with their QB and other key players still healthy. Sure Borrows was playing injured from the start of the season but he was still on the field, so no excuses.

      The Bengals were on the upswing when Burrow got his wrist broken against the Ravens. They soundly defeated the 49ers on the road after their bye week, one of their four straight victories mid-season.
