Sometime, we as men have no idea what many girls have to go through even for very minor things in life. Once a colleague of mine showed how many friend requests she has got from complete strangers and from some people who saw her somewhere in some function. While some just stopped with friend request, others had sent weird creepy messages. Just imagining what every girl I probably know has to go through with creepy guys like these sends chills down my spine. Good that all these instances have only made you more wiser and stronger. More power to you Sandy.

10000% agreed, bcoz same problem faced in France too. Cough for silly things, alone without any friends, change 4-5 home, fight with roommates coz those already Living, no guidance, and many many bad experiences...but now we can say it's stable now.. never ever give up .. key to be stable in any country

True: Those who already landed in Canada, most of them are busy in showoff, fake attitude, feeling superior for nothing especially those who took admission to colleges for a diploma with a low profile in Ontario.
These low profiles and illiterate students are a major concern for new student visa rejections as they keep breaking laws here which impact the images of international students from India......

@@goodman3021 You may be someone who is sitting in India without knowing the reality here.
The police here are good and exceptions are everywhere, if you are offended by my comment on reality then you are one of them who is illiterate, and you are not worth my time to explain to u who I am, just keep living in your dream world if you cant accept the reality.
Before saying me illiterate, just read the canadian newspaper(Hope u know how to read english) and see what some illiterate Indians are doing here to spoil the name of their country.

lessons I learned from this video-
    1. If you are asked for your personal info from the police for breaking minor rules NEVER give them the real info.
    2. Make sure that you have at 80% charge before heading out. And buy a SIM first thing after landing.
    3. Make sure to learn about traffic rules & transportation system of Canada before even coming to Canada.
    4. Make sure who your staying with before signing a lease.
    5. It's BETTER to apply online for jobs.
What do u think Sandy. Are these lessons correct?

Hey Sandeep! I hope you are doing good. I didn't face situations like yours but I still remember one moment from my initial days. I was dropping resume store by store during winter(it was snowing) and it was late so minimal buses were there and I was at an unaware place, from there I had to return to bus stop and no cellular service as well as internet. Had to wander 5-6kms then I reached the bus stop. From there didn't know which bus to take and a group of girls helped me, so grateful to them. @Sandy Talks Canada

Luckily, I had also gone alone at age 24 but had no problem no difficulty and unknown people were very good. I felt so welcome in an unknown country with unknown people except that I avoided talking to people for few days. I saw many Punjabis in Brampton while going in the bus. All oldies sitting in the parks and taking care of their grandchildren. Since I am from Mumbai and no knowledge of Punjabi, I found difficult to interact with people there. I was staying at woodstock. But all were very good to me. Even the blacks staying in the area were absolutely good. Everyone has their own experience.

True story I came here 22 years back with a 12 years old daughter and we didn't know a soul here had just one reference here of someone I hadn't ever met ,the struggle we went through the problems and harrassment my little girl faced still bleeds my heart she all of a sudden was left on her own as I started doing two jobs could hardly meet her during the day and when I use to come to my apartment after 10 ,she would be asleep ,Life was too hard ,then the cold weather ,many times due to lack of knowledge had to wait for buss for an hour on Sunday in -36 which left me frost bitten and got Hypothermia for life ...if I had known the harshness of the weather I would have never chosen Canada ..I am still mentally not settled here and wants to leave Canada asap,my daughter is the same way she hates every minute of it in Canada ,we are done here it's good only if you come with your husband or else for a widow life spent here is like in a concentration camp here at least for me

Canada ki universities me Indian student group nahi hai. Rochester US me old indian students bahut help kerte hain. Airport se lene se leker ghar dilane tak. Kisi bhi problem me call ker sakte hain. Ek banda assign ker dete hain new students ko.

I'm feeling like you are uttering my story in the beginning. When I came to georgia for me it was benefit that I know many people but then too it was a struggle for me ...on the next day or arrival I had my exam and I went to write exam but my friend booked cab for me that was smooth and the next day off course my friend will nit book a cab every single day i have to go with the bus .I remember it was 1st day of Ramadan and I went to uni with bus as I was new to country and didn't know the roots and buses everything they told me to take 25 number bus and I took 25 number bus and that bus was going In wrong direction and that bus stopped at last stop I was so scared and people here don't speak English and it was difficult for me to as for help and everyone was going away from me as I was asking roots to them I just started crying my phone was about yo dead and no Internet sim nothing and I was fasting that day. Also missed my exam..but howsoever I managed and reached home. During that time I had really struggled with moneys by Allah's grace I got escaped from getting robbed by my close one and after 2 months I lost my phone those days were full of struggle anxiety ..
I got new one after 2 months
Till now I'm still struggling and figuring out hoping best to happened..
Whatever I wrote down just a single part of struggle..in short way

Mein ese seriously liya aur ek diary lagai aur ricksha me baithe . Pura road diagram bna leti, aur special point likh leti. But office k 2,3 different raste woh b industrial area. Khali sunsaan oh God bahut roti thi .... But all these things make me stronger

I hope the Consulate of India in Toronto helps international students connect with their community leaders in Canada to assist in their transition period.
I know in our community, we have individuals in Canada doing incredible work in providing whatever assistance needed to international students! Sometimes, there is a lack of awareness, and therefore you don’t get the support you need.
I am so sorry that you had to go through all that in your initial phase in Canada! 😢

It's more like my friends who have gone to Canada are on a different time zone and she is working in service industry to pay her bills. She is always so tired that she can't even tolerate normal chatter.
The one in USA has a lot easier time, since her parents are paying for everything. She posts regularly on social media and other things that friends in Canada are not able to. She is also making friends in USA and keeping up with people here.
