I just finished using this for my backsplash and it worked fine. First I weighed the water and the Grout. I also used distilled water that was cold. For 1# of Grout FA use 3.5 oz water. Resist adding more water and stir by hand for 3.5 to 4 min. Use right away, doesn't not need to rest. Hope this helps. RG
I found your video while doing research on this Skil wet saw. Nice job, it clearly shows that you took your time and were rewarded with excellent results! Btw, that is a Herringbone pattern, not Chevron!
Thanks for the video. I will be doing my kitchen backsplash this weekend and I will be using the Ultracolour grout and Mapei Type 1 adhesive . A little bit nervous from Jeff's video about the Ultracolour but you made it looks so easy grouting so I am less nervous now. haha. THanks again.
Lol you’re still talking about Jeff’s video? You’ve done multiple tile jobs, he was talking to people who have never grouted before. Also like other people have pointed out in the other video’s comments it really depends on a bunch of different factors as to how fast the grout will set up.
What're your thoughts? Have you used the Skil Tile Saw before? AND maybe more importantly, have you used the forbidden Ultracolor Grout FA before?

@Kelly Concepts Sorry man, this is far from a professional job.

The backsplash looks great! You make it look so easy even with all the cuts you had to do!
Just bought this same saw for my 1st tile job can't wait to see how it goes

Why would you use adhesive rather than thinset?

I just bought this saw and will be tiling our backsplash. I'm intimidated by using it but hopefully it won't be too complicated! Thanks for the video!
