      It was not a stock tune. It was a modified K20A basemap. And I know everybody thinks it's a K24 block but it's a stock K20A2 block. Not sure about the dyno on the day I went, but if you look up ivandiets RSX here on RUclips this is the same guy who tuned the worlds fastest N/A RSX and his car made 230whp on this same dyno when all he had was bolt-ons.

      @JonHop1 2 года назад

      @@UnrulyDc5 that dyno is reading high, the calibration is 100% off.. Every Dyno reads different depending on how it is calibrated, but when I was at Jeff Evan's spot (one of the best Honda Tuners in the country), his Dyno was professionally calibrated by DynoJet Master himself Mark Dobeck as well as Head Engineer Kirkpatrick.. That Dyno is probably the most accurate in the country, and when they were doing full bolt on K20's with full 3 inch exhausts, 70+mm TB's, ect.. The highest K20 they dyno'd was a K20A and a K20Z1 which both made about 232-233whp and about 165wtq. And these were super low-miles, fresh motors. The best of the best. But tuning for HP is not ideal. Its not about the highest HP number you can get, its about tuning the motor properly for efficiency and proper power delivery for the application.. I see dudes bringing their dailys in and keep Vtec at 6k+ and pushing the powerband all the way up to redline to get max HP and it only gives them a usable powerband from like 6500-8500,, which you will rarely ever use on the street. On the contrary, when I drive in street-tuned K20's tuned for more mid-range they make like 210-220whp and 165-170tq and its such a better driving car all around. Squeezing out an extra 10-15whp from 8200 on is just kinda pointless when you have to sacrifice all midrange.

Have had 335i and STi owners talking like they would for sure beat me in a race and then lose badly with nothing to say afterwards. It's just the reality that a stock bolt-on 2.0 Honda motor from 2001 with 240k miles smoked their much newer twin turbo 6 in a race. Truly an impressive motor to say the least. It's also the fact that the chassis is so light that it can beat up on much higher hp cars and still win. And yeah, may get cams this summer and retune. Will definitely keep the channel updated as the hp numbers go up. Also, I'm not sure if we met 3 years ago or not but I would have definitely talked to someone with a Skyline lol. Anyways this car 3 years ago was bone stock everything with rust in the rear quarters and hood. Only things it had was Recaro's and black housing headlights. Not many people talked to me about it back then like they do now. If they did I would just tell them my plans and they would be like "yeah right" cause it didn't look like I was serious about the car back then. 10hp could have been the difference between a hot humid day or a cold dry day. I've heard of people make like 205whp and then let it cool down and make 225whp. That sounds like proper numbers for your mods list but I have an aftermarket cold air intake as well as a catless long tube race header. Both combined after tune is good for around 25hp at the wheels. The difference in hp between 93oct and 98 is not that significant in top end power that's more of a midrange difference. @Chaz titan And how do you figure that?
      "You know the 175wtq number isn't what is actually at the wheel"
      So 175WHEEL-Torque, as stated by the very unit attached to it isn't the torque at the wheels? But the Horsepower number, annotated the same way...WheelHP, is?
      Are you suggesting there was an RPM pickup problem? Seriously what do you mean?

      @@chaztitan6457 I like how you say that the TQ isn’t at the wheel yet you use WTQ which literally stands for WHEEL TQ 😂
