By using this valve your A/C will be cooler and work more efficiently also. No heat/hot water going into the heater core which is right next to the A/C evaporator inside the HVAC plenum box.
This looks great! Questions for you though. I plan on just eliminating coolant going to the heater core altogether. I don't need heat where I am. Should I flush the core before doing this?
Absolutely! Still running coolant through the heater core right now her in Michigan. Hoping it will be warm enough to bypass it in a few weeks. So nice that it is a simple twist of a lever!
It should be in the video description. It will direct you to Amazon. I love it! We have been driving in the summer during the day and have it turned off and then driving home you get a cool night and with a simple turn you have full heat again.

If you are bypassing the core I wouldn't worry about it. Flushing a core isn't a lot of fun any way!😀
@@RepairRestore Cool. Thanks for responding so quickly. 👍
Whats the link or item description on that bypass valve to purchase one??
I would drain it. Stagnant liquid will rot it out and cause issues
great info!! found it on amazon are you still happy with it?

Are the 4 connections all 3/4"? My truck has 3/4" and 5/8" hoses.
My truck has both size hoses as well. It was a snug , but it fit well and sealed up nicely. Haven't had a leak yet.
@@RepairRestore did you use the 5/8 or 3/4 valve?
