- Watch as the incomparable Lynn Swann literally jumps over a car (Nov. 25, 1979). Throughout the '70s and early '80s, cars were constantly parked dangerously close to the end zone during games at Three Rivers Stadium as part of a marketing campaign.

I remember watching that game and thinking "What idiot thought that was a good place to park?!?"
Swann ! He was my first favorite player from 1978-79 When I first started watching football seriously. Thnx for all the classic Steelers replays.
You're welcome! Swann was second only to Bradshaw for me.
@@mcmillenandwife No prob my friend you and your wife are Legends for Old Skool Classic Steelers highlights 💪🏈💪 Be Blessed 💃🏼🕺
@@mcmillenandwife Swan was #1, Harris #2, Bradshaw & Stallworth #3, Lambert, Green, White and the rest of the Steel Curtain #4. The Emperor Chaz Noll @ #5. How's that for a top 5?
Mine began in '76. ✌️🎶
The twelfth man, Earl Scheib.

When the noble King is amused, the lowly jester has done his job.
I think the Steelers quit having cars parked in the area near the field after that incident.
They moved them back and kinda closer to the end of the sideline stands...they were there when the Saints won in 3RS in 1987.
Thank you for posting! I've been searching for a while
You're welcome! 👍
The thing is those cars do absolutely nothing for marketing, promotion, advertising having those cars parked there. The ugliest cars at that. I think there were ones in San Diego during the Raiders 'Holy Roller' game.
Jumping over the trunk of a Dodge St. Regis (I think). Seems that the Steelers had some sort of a sponsorship deal with a local Chrysler dealer allowing those cars to be parked near the field at Three Rivers Stadium.
I remember watching this with my buddy back in the day.
I was watching the game when that happened.
Swann is my all time favorite player. If I'm not mistaken he was the first WR to be a SB mvp
Yes, first WR to be Super Bowl MVP. Still the greatest SB performance by a WR IMO.
@@mcmillenandwife I think so too
I remember that.
I also told people about it in the early to mid-eighties,
nobody believed it.
Here is the video evidence.
Lol.
Not only was he a Tremendous Athlete, he was/IS A Great Guy! Gotta Love Lynn Swann.
Swann also jumped over some band members sitting in the back of the end zone
T.H.E. Goat. ❤
Charlie Jones was great to listen to. Surprised softy didn’t knock himself out or pull something.
Swann was a warrior: ruclips.net/video/Ax80A1nD62Y/видео.html I agree w/you on Charlie Jones, but your "softy" comment is ignorant. Worship at the altar of the mediocre cheap-shot artist Atkinson if you want, but Swann was tough AF. Fearless over the middle, could take a hit and was a helluva blocker.
