    Been driving mine AWD for 10 days now. Really impressed with it. The ride and the interior feel quite premium ( also Audi Q3 quattro owner ). Range also quite good considering all that power available.

    This car does not actually chimes too much, most of them have settings to be turned off, or at least the sounds can be turned off and have only a visual indicator. For me I found the attention monitoring to be quite accurate and not overly sensitive, so I guess YMMV and when you first get the car you may be more distracted trying to find where the buttons are so it would bing more then,

    the indicator stalk function is still set to left of the steering wheel when it should have been on the right in a RHD car . . . this is what happens when a LHD car predominantly designed for LHD markets are converted to RHD for RHD markets . . . and the gear selector stalk in the Zeekr X should have been on the left because this is a RHD vehicle in a serious RHD market . . .

    Zeekr Australia’s website doesn’t inspire much confidence when it comes to servicing options-there’s no mention of them at all. It’s filled with flowery language that adds no real value for consumers. Who’s going to take care of your car after you’ve paid for and picked it up? If these newcomers were clearer about their after-sales service, I’d feel much more reassured!

    @toriwatson9655 3 дня назад +1

    Good review. Not sure if i missed it, but I don't think you mentioned what battery chemistry is used, for me this is super important. Also being a 'new' Chinese brand is not a concern for me, Zeekr is Geely's luxury brand and Geely owns Volvo, Polestar, Lotus and makes London Taxis. I think there is more chance of some of the legacy auto brands not being around in 10 years than the rapidly growing Geely group. As for the annoying safety features this is an ongoing issue driven by Ancap/Ncap ratings only giving five stars if a car has these features, which seem to never work well and are mostly turned off by the driver.

    • @therightcar
      @therightcar  2 дня назад +1

      Thanks. Battery chemistry for the Zeekr X is NMC from CATL.

      @@therightcar Yes car industry is changing quickly. Geely have two very good LFP batteries, short blade battery and the excellent golden battery. In a premium Zeekr I think they should be using the golden battery. I'm just not interested in anything with NMC. I'm keen to see what the Geely EX5 will cost. In China, the AWD Zeekr X sells for $45K (AUD). Somehow, this has translated to $70K driveway in Australia.
    As a brand that the majority of Australians never heard of and the perception of Chinese cars being not up to par, this won't sell well and neither will the 009 ($147K driveaway). Speaking of the 009, what a bizzare strategy to bring that in first instead of the 007.
    Whilst the cars Zeekr make are decent, Zeekr Australia appears intent in making the car brand fail here with their pricing and launch strategies. It is quite likely they will price the 7X higher the the Model Y.

Crazy not to have one in this country. Also, is there some sort of ban on leather products in China? Why do none of the Chinese cars have actual leather (including Tesla)? Plastic seats for $50 to $60k in the Aus climate is madness. And then there is the silly glass roof with no shade - good luck in Sydney on a 35C day stuck in typical Sydney traffic.

      Unless your leasing with the give back option its a great buy otherwise its a big loss !!

    Australia is moving past Early Adopters for EVs, we’re now into Early Majority. Price is now a big consideration against other EVs and needs to be more comparable to mid spec ICE alternatives.
