When I read Les MIserables as a teen, I was IN LOVE with Enjorlas' character, and I always imagined him as having dreamy, blue eyes... (may have been in the description, I have no personal preference for blue eyes!) But from now on, he will have Kyle's face in my imagination! He is SUCH A PERFECT Ejorlas! The revolution would have succeeded no doubt if he lead it with a song!
I saw Kyle as Lafayette/Jefferson in the Hamilton tour back in 2018 and he was amazing!

Today I learned Chris McCarell was in Les Mis. Bit of a trip when you know his voice as Percy Jackson, suddenly jumping to one of the barricade boys.
I watched him in Les Mis live. He was amazing. It was insane listening to the Percy Jackson musical years later and seeing his name. And realizing that I watched him perform.

Kyle and Andy are so amazing!! (Also I loved Grantaire idk his name) but like... Why does Andy look so cartoonishly short?
Edit: I just looked it up and Kyle is 6'5 and Andy is 5'8

I really don't care for this Enjolras. I think Enjolras needs a clarion voice, very clear and trumpet-like. This Enjolras has a covered voice that doesn't serve the character as well.
He’s personally my favorite
@@jad0352 well, that's why the arts are so wonderful...we each can appreciate what speaks to our hearts. My first Enjolras experience was Michael Maguire and he is actually a baritone, so he brings that weighty, manly clarity to the role, and to me he has set the "tone" for that role, my favorite role in any musical.
I think what Kyle Scatliffe (this Enjolras) brings the leadership qualities out of this role. His presence is strong, and the gravitas of his voice makes him come across as powerful. This in turn makes him convincing as a leader of the revolution and someone people want to follow.
Although I understand your view. Enjolras in the books is described as feminine and baby-face good looking. But Kyle has a very masculine presence and looks intense.
But I love this interpretation of the role because it is fresh and daring, almost as if to say fuck your sense of beauty, we're going to war.

Hien Thanh funny you should say that, this is the first I’ve ever seen of Kyle Scatliffe and I immediately thought “that’s the closest to a clarion-like Enjolras I’ve heard since Anthony Warlow”. He gives you exactly the same tingles you got from Warlow when you hear him belt out “One more day before the storm... at the barricades of freedom...!” in the middle of One Day More.... there’s an anniversary concert somewhere here on RUclips [of One Day More] and I personally think he totally steals it...
