How cute is Willow. I had a mini Willow too. She would nibble my toes. It was the cutest thing. To this day i can still feel Willow nibbling on my toes. Good luck guys with your homestead. Keep it up!!
Awww...she looked like she was smiling big while all those babies were feeding! We believe our potbelly pig may be give birth any time now. We are excitingly waiting! 😃 CongratZ
@@PoydrasBayouFarms she is still hanging in there. I keep looking for any milk droplets...but haven't seen any yet. Shes laying around and taking it easy though. We are just waiting! 😃 👏 😊
@@PoydrasBayouFarms she had 9 piglets her very first litter! She has been a good mama for a first time mother. In the beginning she laid on 3 😥 but then she got the hang of things. They are now 7 weeks old today. They are little chunks, strong, and healthy! 😆
That’s great! Thanks so much for the update. I was just thinking about your comment yesterday wondering how it went. Our first litter on our farm was horrible. I had no idea she was pregnant because she was a rescue and we lost all 8 of them. Glad to know the rest of your piggies are doing well!
I loved watching this! Our sow had piglets in June and we now have the runt in the house as our pet. Her name is Mable. She was so tiny and was only getting the “hind tit” so we took her away from Poppy (her mom) at about 5-1/2 weeks old. She immediately started thriving in the house with us. She’s now bigger than the other 6 from her litter and she lives a life of leisure. We had her spayed because not doing so is dangerous for a female pig, which I’m sure you know. I’m subscribed to your channel now and I’m looking forward to seeing your awesome videos in the future! Thank you for your content!
We cut the cord to prevent is getting caught on something and ripping off. We do clean off the babies, this helps with survival rate. BUT birth is natural and God did not make animals to rely on humans. Mom can do all this on her own. But if we can be there to help her along the way, we do so. hope this answers your questions!
They are the cutest little sweeties

Why was the umbilical chord cut? Does that need to be done? Done you clean the babies or does momma
