Yess!!!! Its 2021 and I am here listening to this! Mr. Bean is a classic! I am a 90’s baby and I STILL remember some of his episodes from my VHS tape. Beautiful music ❤️
You've probably alraedy had a reply, but here goes anyway: "Ecce homo qui est faba": Behold the man who is a bean! "Vale homo qui est faba": Farewell, man who is a bean. Ridiculous but fantastic!
Ecce homo (pronounced [ˈetʃːe ˈomo] or [ˈekːe ˈhomo]) are the Latin words used by Pontius Pilate in the Vulgate translation of the John 19:5, when he presents a scourged Jesus Christ, bound and crowned with thorns, to a hostile crowd shortly before his Crucifixion. The original Greek is Ἰδοὺ ὁ ἄνθρωπος (Idou ho anthrōpos). The King James Version translates the phrase into English as ‘behold the man’. The scene is widely depicted in Christian art.
I didn't know this beautiful blond head is not living anymore, so sad 😢 I hope he wasn't abused by someone older or something like that. Nice boys who seemed to have a childhood
I'm not sure if anyone has answered this, but the song lyrics mean "Behold, the man who is a bean." the second verse is from the ending of the show and means "Farewell, the man who is a bean."
@@liamclarke5761 if you're talking about him being an alien manly because the animated series it does not fully confirm hes an alien because he has a backstory type episode so its not confirmed because all the Aliens are called Mr. Pod and the live action and animated series have different canons.
@zitronesaft PART 2 of reply. So to me when Pilate said this it would be like saying "Look at how he has already been terribly punished why kill him after all this." The crowd of course persisted with their evil and got their wish to kill him. This music to me therefore shows the enormous moment where a man has the decision to kill the greatest man ever to live.
@zitronesaft Yes "ECCE HOMO" means "Behold, the man!" It was the comment that was made by Pontius Pilate to the crowd as is recorded in St John's Gospel. When Jesus was brought out for judgement for the big decision for them to kill or save him Pilate said these words to the crowd. By this stage he would have been I believe terribly scourged and would have looked a mess with the crown of thorns bashed on his head.

Good to know but please don't tie or attempt to draw religion into something never intended for any religious purpose.
