This is why I like your channel, you know yourself well, it's about what you like and not just hopping on the trend wagon. I feel the same way about palettes, but felt like I was too boring and needed to be open to all the color in palettes. Been feeling the urge to declutter recently and now I feel more comfortable about walking away from all those palettes...thanks!

I love MAC makeup. Truly the best eyeshadow out there- no fall out and goes on smooth and creamy. Very easy to blend. Would love to see more reviews on their products.

I also tend to gravitate towards the same color schemes over and over. That’s unfortunately created a pile of “too similar to keep all”. I’m planning on decluttering, soon... when I get a breather. (I’m a nurse, so no lockdown “vacation” for me.)

Would love to see a 3 looks or 5 looks with one neutral palette, maybe the new Zoeva you have. Another you tuber does 7 looks with one palette to really give a good source to max use of a palette so would love to see with some of yours - as I love same cooler tones and only buy Angie recommended products :). I’m still a beginner with eye shadows and keep trying to get it right using your techniques. When I use something it’s often just a swipe with a Laura Mercier stick as my fine motor skills for doing something intricate with one eye closed while usually running late to wherever I need to be... Now, with Covid, is the time as I spend all my time at work wearing a mask (healthcare.) So if you were stranded on a desert island, which ONE. Makeup palette would it be? Dior? Mark Jacobs? LOVED this! You and I have pretty much the same eyeshadow color/style preferences so this was right up my alley. Several of the same loves and thanks for ideas on what I might enjoy. My number one all time most used fav is Tartlette in Bloom. UD Naked Basics 2 is right up there. The warmest palette I love is Flower Beauty shimmer and Shade in Golden Naturals. (No oranges!) but AMAZING formula. Would love to know the shade names on your fav makeup geek singles. I just received my Sydney Grace singles...wow! On my wish list...Dior, Marc Jacobs and UD naked 3. Thanks again!
You have motivated me to clean out my palettes! I also created my own Makeup Geek palette! Never heard of this brand, but I love the idea of picking out your own colors. The blush and bronzer selection needs better color choices but the eye shadows, WOW! Thanks Angie! LOVE your videos!
I have organizational skills envy. I just wanted to say thank you for your videos. I have always had hooded eyes and hated wearing eyeshadow but I have now started buying shadow again and wearing it. Thanks to watching your videos I finally found someone who has my taste in makeup looks. Who could show the way to get the look I have always envied on others. I even can buy the same shades since our skin tone is so similar. I no longer have to stick to a natural/no makeup look!
Personally I’d love to see more MAC content, I don’t really know much about their products. I did buy their Glow Play blush recently and LOVE them, I just don’t know what else they really have out there. What I love about your recommendations is that they’re true, the favorites you mentioned in this video I remember you raving about over and over through the years, you don’t toss out a recommendation without meaning it. I agree, still have my GOAT MAC colors that I've been buying for over 20 years! Great colors, very blendy, really good staying power! Other Favorites: Naked Basics 2 (repurchased so many times!), Tarte In Bloom, Viseart Paris Edit, Dior 5 color compacts. Just got Buxom and liking it so far. Thanks so much for the reviews, Angie! This was oddly satisfying! I did a palette declutter (not nearly as many, lol) and decided to only keep those I use everyday since I’m not going to any fancy events anytime soon.
OMG Angie. I have to thank you for the Zoeva Basic Moment palette tip. I just LOVE it. The shades "Waiting" and "Liquid Clock" make my heart skip a beat. I'm thinking of buying another and keeping it sealed up (like some kind of palette hoarder, lol) in case it gets discontinued. I'm having anxiety just thinking about it. So gorgeous.

I'v not used eyrshadow for a few y4s as I have hooded eyes but just started to use them again but only in the crease and above the crease so you can see the shadow so going to purchase a few of these you have shown I can't afford the expensive ones but uv have helped me where to put the shadow on hooded eyes. your giving away some neautifull pallets xx

Wow, that was a walk down memory lane. I still remember the first video I watched of yours was the UD Naked Basic and following along step by step. Now that seems like such a basic little pallet (but still a good one) compared to some of these others. My favorite pallet at the moment is the bareMinerals Gen Nude Rose, but I am interested in the one you are wearing today. Now that we are all wearing masks, I like to play up my eyes just a little more.
I have both - the GenNude Neutral and Rose. I actually think they may have “accidentally” switched the names, because the Neutral is rosey and the Rose seems more taupey, to me.
Definitely hang on to the Chanel quad! It's beautiful. I work from 2 to 3 different palettes when I'm doing my eyes. There are favorites in every palette so I just line them up and use whichever I feeel I want to use that day. I have thought about trying to pry my faves out of each palette and putting them in some type of magnetic thing to create a "favorites" palette. Like you did with the MG palette. Hmmm...maybe I'll work on that. I am totally in love with your makeup look today. Those shadow colors are what I always reach for.
Angie, I appreciate your tutorials. 52 years young here and feel 35 ! I left a bad relationship in 2019 and it has taken me a year to bounce back to my vibrant self ditching the depression. Now...... I'm wearing makeup again but have found all the rules have changed ( it's been a few years since I've even bothered w makeup ) and sooo many new types of products on the market, and finally more vibrant color choices in Eyeshadow Palettes... do I choose this, do I choose that ! ? ! How do I do this or that ? That is why I just love love your tutorials... you break it down for people new to makeup and for us OGs that may just feel a bit overwhelmed by so many choices and new techniques. Hi Angie, I'm a minimalist too, but warm toned and a beginner. I got the impression I should start with Milani or Smashbox Pallete. Can you reccomend specific ones? I have a hard time telling if colors are warm or cool. Some of the ones you said were warm had a lot of bold colors but I'm looking to do my eyeshadow the way you do, for hooded eyes, Thanks very much!
Angie, do look further into the Buxom shadows. I have three palettes and love them! I bought singles to exchange out the colours I don't care for. Now, they're only colours I actually enjoy wearing. They are creamy and wear beautifully. Congrats on WSJ! 👏💕🌻

Too faced Chocolate Bon Bons is probably my all time favorite palette - the Sprinkles color is the perfect shimmery lid color for a cool toned person. I'm always surprised that no one ever mentions the ItCosmetics Naturally Pretty palette (I'm on my third one!). Naked Basics 2 is good, but the Naked Basics (no longer available) was my fave. I have been lusting after those two Dior Palettes for years, and now seems to be the "why not" time!
I always love the colours you choose, they suit you so well. 😊 Your larger 'Emily' palette has two green shades in it and as a makeup artist in the UK I would love to see you in those two green shades. My clients are always pleasantly surprised how flattering a subtle green shade can be.

I bet if you open all the pallets you’ve kept on your desk & looked at them you’d have heaps of double colours, thats what i have with mine🤔 alot cross over in other paletts but you have to do that to get the other colours👍💕
Wayne Goss has a video on his channel instructing how to disinfect eyeshadow palettes. He puts drugstore alcohol in a spray bottle and lightly sprays the eyeshadows.
Yes ! AND... if you have a color that's broken or crumbled the alcohol will fix it as good as new also... a few sprays / couple drops, use the flat end of an orange stick to reform it and it dries as good as new.
Yup... I’m using the 91% alcohol from Target, for all my powder products. A couple of sprays after use and then let dry open.... before putting them back into storage.

I don't buy palettes often because I always use Marc Jacob's singles. However, 10 minutes ago I unboxed my Beautylish order with the Wayne Goss Imperial Topaz palette in it. Beautiful shades that are unbelievably creamy. You'll love the Wayne Goss palette you're waiting on.

I don’t have many pallets - exactly five small pallets. I have the Smashbox Minimalist pallet, like it, and the UD Naked Heat, like it, but the pallet I reach for the most is the Laura Geller Iconic New York Collection, Uptown Chic ( the one in the white case).

I was really impressed with those small Sephora palettes. Really good quality, and I ended up with Jewel Tones, All Matte, Fair Warm, and Fair Cool.

I love tarte blossom. Smells so good and great colors that last. But my teens took it over and they love it as liner and shadow.

Angie I would love to see you in orange and peachy shades. With your blue eyes I think it would look stunning. I’ve recently gotten into these colors and I love them with my blue eyes.

Wow, that was a walk down memory lane. I still remember the first video I watched of yours was the UD Naked Basic and following along step by step. Now that seems like such a basic little pallet (but still a good one) compared to some of these others. My favorite pallet at the moment is the bareMinerals Gen Nude Rose, but I am interested in the one you are wearing today. Now that we are all wearing masks, I like to play up my eyes just a little more.

I have both - the GenNude Neutral and Rose. I actually think they may have “accidentally” switched the names, because the Neutral is rosey and the Rose seems more taupey, to me.
Definitely hang on to the Chanel quad! It's beautiful. I work from 2 to 3 different palettes when I'm doing my eyes. There are favorites in every palette so I just line them up and use whichever I feeel I want to use that day. I have thought about trying to pry my faves out of each palette and putting them in some type of magnetic thing to create a "favorites" palette. Like you did with the MG palette. Hmmm...maybe I'll work on that. I am totally in love with your makeup look today. Those shadow colors are what I always reach for.

I left a bad relationship in 2019 and it has taken me a year to bounce back to my vibrant self ditching the depression.
Now...... I'm wearing makeup again but have found all the rules have changed ( it's been a few years since I've even bothered w makeup ) and sooo many new types of products on the market, and finally more vibrant color choices in Eyeshadow Palettes... do I choose this, do I choose that ! ? ! How do I do this or that ?
That is why I just love love your tutorials... you break it down for people new to makeup and for us OGs that may just feel a bit overwhelmed by so many choices and new techniques.

Hi Angie, I'm a minimalist too, but warm toned and a beginner. I got the impression I should start with Milani or Smashbox Pallete. Can you reccomend specific ones? I have a hard time telling if colors are warm or cool. Some of the ones you said were warm had a lot of bold colors but I'm looking to do my eyeshadow the way you do, for hooded eyes, Thanks very much!
Angie, do look further into the Buxom shadows. I have three palettes and love them! I bought singles to exchange out the colours I don't care for. Now, they're only colours I actually enjoy wearing. They are creamy and wear beautifully. Congrats on WSJ! 👏💕🌻
Have you tried the nomad eyeshadows. I just got the surf one and I love it. It’s right up there with my favorite Sydney grace eyeshadow!
I was gifted a couple Viseart palettes and thought I was the only one that couldn’t understand the hype. I have been slowly decluttering them. I loveMakeup Geek shadows. Debating on ordering some of the new ones

Angie, the Suede Seduction palette by Buxom is more you-- not really warm, just one shade pulls warm/neutral, and they are lovely mattes.
Too faced Chocolate Bon Bons is probably my all time favorite palette - the Sprinkles color is the perfect shimmery lid color for a cool toned person. I'm always surprised that no one ever mentions the ItCosmetics Naturally Pretty palette (I'm on my third one!). Naked Basics 2 is good, but the Naked Basics (no longer available) was my fave. I have been lusting after those two Dior Palettes for years, and now seems to be the "why not" time!
I always love the colours you choose, they suit you so well. 😊 Your larger 'Emily' palette has two green shades in it and as a makeup artist in the UK I would love to see you in those two green shades. My clients are always pleasantly surprised how flattering a subtle green shade can be.

I love the those abh pallets. The Wayne palette is really nice...just note the pallets is hard to open..but the shadows are great.
I bet if you open all the pallets you’ve kept on your desk & looked at them you’d have heaps of double colours, thats what i have with mine🤔 alot cross over in other paletts but you have to do that to get the other colours👍💕
Wayne Goss has a video on his channel instructing how to disinfect eyeshadow palettes. He puts drugstore alcohol in a spray bottle and lightly sprays the eyeshadows.

AND... if you have a color that's broken or crumbled the alcohol will fix it as good as new also... a few sprays / couple drops, use the flat end of an orange stick to reform it and it dries as good as new.

Yup... I’m using the 91% alcohol from Target, for all my powder products. A couple of sprays after use and then let dry open.... before putting them back into storage.
@Reality5870 why would 70% alcohol kill more bacteria than 91%??? 70% alcohol contains more water than 91% ... and bacteria thrives in water.
Hey Angie! Love what you do. Question for you. The palettes you select are perfect for your lovely coloring. Is there any way to help guide those of us not blessed with your fair hair and big blue eyes? I’m a brunette with green eyes and olive complexion. What suggestions would you have for shadow palette? I don't buy palettes often because I always use Marc Jacob's singles. However, 10 minutes ago I unboxed my Beautylish order with the Wayne Goss Imperial Topaz palette in it. Beautiful shades that are unbelievably creamy. You'll love the Wayne Goss palette you're waiting on.
The two-faced natural matte pallet is the one you used for the eyes with the classic red lip video. I have it saved in my favorites. Best look ever!

I don’t have many pallets - exactly five small pallets. I have the Smashbox Minimalist pallet, like it, and the UD Naked Heat, like it, but the pallet I reach for the most is the Laura Geller Iconic New York Collection, Uptown Chic ( the one in the white case).
