Lip swatches: yes please! This video was very informative and well done, thank you 👌
If I was shopping ONLY by swatches (NO PACKAGING TO DISTRACT ME), and you showed me those on your arm....I'd TOTALLY choose the originals. It just goes to show how motivated we, the consumers, are by pretty packaging. Too Faced KNEW that and so they used pretty packaging to try and renew interest in an older product.
P.S. Although the outer packaging is undeniably beautiful, I actually hate a shiny gold inner palette. It not only detracts from the shadows, but it also just looks "cheap-y" to me. I'll keep my old "Natural Eyes" tin thank you, Too Faced 😘

Okay - this might be me being silly, but I am kind of tired of makeup brands using "raunchy" names like sexpert or strip poker or, more famously, orgasm. Not because I personally care but because it means that I can't give this to my traditional grandmother (she'd have a heart attack) or to my younger relatives. Plus it is overdone shock value marketing.

I agree. Not only that, but it puts me off the whole product sometimes; ie if the name is such a gimmick then the whole product might be too.
Me too, I'd never buy it for my younger sister because of this, even though I've been wanting to get her a nice, neutral palette. (She's 14)
@@kpeacock22 I love my Tarte In Bloom or the Tarte Maneater as a neutral palette. The names in maneater might be a little risque, but the ones in In Bloom are not. However, In Bloom is $46 while Maneater is $30 (both sold at Ulta). Id look in stores and see which one she might like best. Maybe even the Bare Minerals palettes with 6 colors? Gen Nudes palettes, I think theyre called. Also, all versions are $30.

The original natural matte is my absolute favorite all matte palette!! Bummed that they switched it up 😔

Same! Also, Honey Butter is my favorite shade, hands down, so I'm so sad they let it go. I'm close to panning it and idk what I'll do when it runs out. Probs buy a single if available/dupe if not because I can't justify rebuying the palette just for one shade, honestly.
My sentiments exactly! Why change something that is so perfect! The Natural Mattes is an all time favorite of mine. I need a hands on look at these now before buying. I’m glad I waited for Emily’s review. 😊. The lipsticks are beautiful though!

What is up with the names of the shadows??? Sexpresso and sexpert. Seriously they could not think of better themes, then again this is the brand with the "better than sex" mascara.

ANA Gama If I remember correctly (someone can correct me if I'm wrong), Sexpresso is a shadow that has been around for years. I think it used to be in one of their duos that they sold way back when. But I agree about the names. It just kind of makes it weird and I'm not a fan of over sexualized names for makeup.
I can just imagine little kids being around, and some that love to read everything, reading that and wondering what it means. Cringeworthy

Awesome video, I have yet to see anyone else review these! I think everyone assumed they were exactly the same, just newer packaging! I always turn to you for accurate, honest & in depth info on products. I know researching all of these things take time quite a bit of effort, so please know it is noticed & appreciated! I would love to see the lipsticks if you feel they are worth swatching. It would also be interesting to hear what you learned and did at the ULTA conference (if you are allowed to talk about it)!! Linda Espinoza It's possible that you won't miss out Linda. I've seen the Natural Mattes/Eyes palette numerous times on discount websites recently, and not knowing about the repackage thing, couldn't understand why. I'm in Australia and I'm not sure if you have the same site available, but surely you have something similar; I'm referring to a website I frequently use called "Catch of the Day", which is a discount website offering often HUGE markdowns on items. I think they bulk buy products which are being discontinued or possibly nearing the end of their 'use by' date. Anyway, I hope this helps. Oh, possibly you can find them on Nordstrom rack (?? not sure I've got the name completely right) but they seem to offer something similar. I saw the Tarte Clay Play Face Shaping Palette, version 1, marked down on there around the time they were releasing the version 2 of that palette. I think you basically sign up for email alerts because they only offer these discounts for a limited time. I'm sorry I'm not more clear on the details but I decided not to follow through with any of their offers because their shipping to Australia made it not worth my time.

I REALLY LOVE the new colors that are BETTER versions of the old TOO warm/orange/deep that are now SO much prettier!! They are MORE wearable and REALLY look more natural and like nude/neutral shades. I get SO tired of SO many brands ruining palettes with all the orange/"terracotta" or too deep murky colors that LOOK like TOO much and you can never get a NATURALLY PRETTY look with them. I for one am SO glad they improved those old (overused and obvious) colors. I have the old palettes and am SO happy they finally made something that is AS PROMISED, NEUTRAL/NATURAL colors. NOT everyone wants OBVIOUS , noticeable color but like instead to just look NATURALLY ENHANCED AND PRETTY. THANK you TOO FACED for the improvements!

Please please please swatches of all those lipsticks....I bought 'pout about it' thinking it was pinkish...but turned out to be a browny shade
I got the old Natural Matte at TJ Maxx for $15. Be on the lookout. I actually like the smaller tin packaging. I don't like the new gold interior. I just prefer a smaller palette. I'm going to use it for travel. As a cool tone lover I most certainly love the original! You are right Emily, the new one is so ordinary.
I always wanted the Natural Matte palette but never got around to picking it up, now I probably never will. I prefered the old colors better. Oh well, the last thing I need is more makeup.

I had it on my wl for a long time,I wanted to hit the pan on my UD basic 1 which I do not adore,I am using it but I wouldn't buy it again..and now I don't know what to do..definitely not be buying the new version..maybe I'll just buy new milani matte palatte instead , it has so many great reviews (both of them )
same...i've not yet own any too faced palette (though i love their estetics) it seems everytime i'm trying to buy from them i didnt end up buying them at all 🤣..palette wise i mean... i still prefer my juvias place and colourpop palette 😎😎..
I was just about to settle on that palette as my first neutral palette, but then the tarte in bloom palette released literally days before I was gonna pull the trigger! I love my tarte palette, despite recent tarte brand drama.
Last unicorn Yes, the new Milani palettes look amazing and I do love my mattes. As much as I don't care for Wal-Mart I'll probably get it there because it's $15 instead of 20. Thank you for reminding me that I can get those 2 and have money left over! 😉

Luanne Santos My theory is that the thumbs down (because they appear so darn fast) are from other YTers who are jealous of Emily's ethical & honest approach to reviews, and her original ideas. While the "big names" are taking money to promote companies and being overly dramatic with silly tags, Emily is a rock. Plus she has the most loyal fans on the planet - maybe even the universe - if I lived on Jupiter, I'd totally watch her shop her Caboodle.
I started to think that some of the thumbs down come from people not liking the product or the brand, instead of not liking the video itself.
Authenticity makes others feel threatened. Emily is simply amazing

Yes, lip swatches and review please! Love your unbiased reviews. They are always so thoughtful. Sometimes it’s hard to find reviews on work appropriate make up. I love all the fun stuff too but I need to expand my work collection so I can enjoy putting on make up in the morning just as much as I do with all of the fun colors and such on the weekends.
Reading your random thought...I never thought I would care so much for a furry friend. My kids (I have 4) have begged forever to get them one. I finally caved 3 months ago n got them a yellow lab. She is so adorable and loved by all, especially yours truly 😉
Emily I watched the video when you left the TV station the other day as it randomly popped into my RUclips feed!! It made me cry a bit, everyone was super sweet in their farewell wishes. It also made me laugh because I thought it was hilarious you had them all doing chipmunk faces back then. 😂

You are so articulate and just fantastic when it comes to reviewing products! I understand everything well, even though English isn’t my first language (but I do love the language so much, it’s like my second language), and your videos are so well thought off.
I personally like the shades in the new palette, because I’m very fair and have blue eyes so I feel like the new palette would suit my eyes more. I don’t know. I didn’t try the old shadows though. But I’m definitely going to get the new Natural Matte palette because I need new brown matte shades for every day use. :)

The Too Faced palette design is gorgeous. Might want to get the face palette. Not feeling really excited about the eye palettes since I already have a similar existing palette. I do enjoy Too Faced eyeshadows though, and I am a sucker for attractive packaging. Haha.
I love the new packaging! I’ve never own any of those eyeshadow palettes before, so when I purchased the shimmer one, I absolutely fell in love with it. Perfect everyday eyeshadows, butter smooth and they easily blended out. Really glad I got it.

I got natural eyes for Christmas and it’s my absolute favorite and now I’m CRYING this collection isn’t available! I’m so jealous! Absolutely adore these shadows the formula is amazing and colors so gorgeous- and the pigmentation is amazing. Not to mention the smell ❤️
Do you think there might be a slight coating on the surface of the new shadows, perhaps needed because of the surface embossing? Maybe once you get into the pans they will behave better. Love the packaging!

the old palettes are on nordstrom rack today along with other items that have the old packaging... sun bunny, chocolate bronzers, beach bunny, and pink leopard. i rewatched this video and am so excited to pick the palettes up for only $12!
I love the Natural Mattes original version! It's one of my favorites and I've even given it as gifts a couple times too because loved it so much. I also prefer the smaller tin packaging on the original too. Much easier to store... oh well there's so many eyeshadow options out there now it's ok. I won't be purchasing the new version needless to say lol. Thanks for the video!!!

I am not the biggest natural lover and didn’t own the old palettes but found the old natural mattes at TJ Maxx and am excited to seemingly have the better formula for less than half the price! Thanks for the comparison!

My second ever high end eyeshadow palette was the natural love palette and I LOVE it! It was just simple, but very thin and sleek cardboard packaging with that BEAUTIFUL springy print and details standing out in velvet, and it’s SO good.

I love how you put so much love and heart for your review. When I can respectfully disagree your opinion about the new Natural Eyes (with the matte and shimmer), I feel like it worked lovely on me and I loved it just the same with the version 2 one. I love you so much. ❤️
I have been wanting the natural matte eyeshadow palette and always talked myself out of it. Even after I learned that the palette was changing, it took about a month for me to decide to go ahead and buy it before the older version is out of stock and discontinued. The newer version of the same palette is slowly growing on me but it will be awhile before I would get it. The dusky rose color is my kind of color and that is a selling point for me. Emily, you should do a side by side, one eye with old pallette and one with the new one.i do love your ability to analyze the products, not just this particular one but all the products that you show us. You are so nice to watch. I just love you to pieces. You seem just as beautiful on the inside as on the outside and that is what I've always loved about you. The original Natural Matte pallet is my favorite and have hit pan on several of the colors. I’m not loving the purple replacement colors. This was a great side by side review, answered all my questions! Yes to a lip swatch video 💄💋

Satin Sheets is my all time favorite all over eyeshadow from from toofaced. I had an old discontinued palette and was heart broken until the boudoir eyes palette brought it back! I was a little surprised when I saw it as a highlight. I used to use it as a highlight though way back in the day when I first got hard core into makeup my jr. Year.
I used to have the tin packaged natural eyes palette and some shades I loved, others lacked pigment (the cream shade) I gave it away. Loved the gold flecked brown shade. It was my first high end palette. Ahh those were the days!
I happened to be browsing through the makeup department at my local TJMaxx this past week and ran across several packages of the original Too Faced Natural Eyes! What a treat having it back in my collection and at a great price point.

I have the face palette and the shimmer eye palette. I was playing around with them last night as I just got them in the mail yesterday. The eye palette doesn't have tons of choices of colours. I got a beautiful eye look from it and it was as good as any youtuber out there. I am not a makeup artist but just a makeup junkie. I found the shadows to be very creamy, felt wonderful, nicely pigmented and a win. The face palette is also very nice. I like the blush, highlighter and bronzer that I used. I give it full marks. I had no fallout on my face from the eye shadow. The smell of the palettes is amazing. I got a whiff in my mother and it tasted good, too. I am not a big Too Faced fan and haven't had a ton of success with them in the past but this is a definite win. If you are on the fence I would say you will probably be very happy with them.

I haven’t been that excited about new Too Faced eyeshadow palettes in a while. My last purchase was their Sweet Peach palette but last real love was the Semi-Sweet palette. I hope their quality doesn’t continue to drop because they truly are my favorite eyeshadow brand.
I fee like your Honey Butter is my Tartelette in Bloom’s Smarty Pants. It’s a gorgeous warm transition color that changes my whole eye look. I’m wondering if you feel the same way about that color too.

I love pink and mauve tones. Which palette would you recommend? I’ve always wanted to buy the Naked 3, but haven’t. Is that the best one with those tones?

Literally GASPED when you said satin sheets and then paused the video to comment. IM SO HAPPY. Satin sheets has actually appeared in several of their holiday palettes as a highlight or a shadow shade and might even be in the chocolate bonbons palette if I recall correctly, and it is the most gorgeous highlighter and one of my favourites. Have always wished they’d come out with a full size. I’ll buy just for this. ✨✨✨✨✨
I needed this! I was at Ulta today and was almost suckered into buying one of these palettes purely because I was blown away by the packaging. I already have the original shadow palettes, so I was leaning towards the face palette. I was really iffy about the shades so I ended up passing, but I might pick it up next time!

Emily you always do such a good review. The swatch tip about the spreadabiity of the shadow and it's meaning really is helpful. I had not thought about that. I think I would like the original better but the packaging is better. Those lipsticks look lovely. I would love to see a video swatch on those.

I'm still working on my Natural Love palette that I got last year so I don't feel the need to run out and get the eye shadows. That face palette is tempting, though. I'd love to hear your take on the lipsticks.
I didn't want to buy (although tempted) anything from this collection without hearing your thoughts. Thank you, Emily. Please do lip swatches. My mother-in-law and I were in Sephora on Friday, and she wanted a rosy-neutral lipstick, and we ended up with UD Vice Sheer Liar. I think the TF Natural Nude Lipstick would be such a cute little gift for her too.

The Natural Eyes Palette is actually version #3---the original was in cardboard packaging. The tin packaging is version #2 and has different shades than the original #1.

Wow thanks for this video, I've been wanting the Natural Matte palette for some time and had planned to ask for it for my birthday at the end of the month. Now I will quickly get one at the store before the new formulations come in
I like the colors in the new matte palette so much more, they’re much much more flattering on me. Love the new packaging so much more as well.
