Did you had any issues with the new pipe fitting the intercooler. Driver side with the nipple doesn’t fit at all on mine. - I do have a bigger intercooler tho
I'm 'glad' you guys had issues with this. I've got an F54 LCI JCW and when I did the intercooler, every place I looked said 'yeah totally a 2 hour job'. It took me like 8 hours spread over 3 day. And then I couldn't get that stupid rubber charge pipe back on the pass side. That held me up for like 2+ hours, and when I finally got it back on I think I split the seal because when my car warms up and I get to full boost, I get a balloon farting noise. Not terrible, car doesn't feel like there's a leak, and no CEL lit, but I just bought the same FTP pipes for my car. Luckily I just had that rubber hose completely off like 3 months ago so hopefully it comes off easily again and the new stuff goes on. Anyway, thanks for all the tips. I like that you at least talk about the effectiveness of a mod after installing it. Too many people just show you how to install it and then that's it! Keep it up!
This definitely would smooth airflow through into and out of the intercooler. Important when you're running higher boost pressures. These also replace hoses which can expand, with pipes, so the pressure will be remain constant.
Did you notice any difference with this mod? I had purchased these same exact pipes but my order kept getting delayed so after months of waiting, I just canceled it.
I didn't really notice much difference when I put it on. Maybe a slight improvement under high boost. But it's the cumulative effect of cleaning up the airflow while I prepare the car for a stage 2 tune that I'm going for.
@@bbkangs LMAO so basically I canceled my order from ecs too and ordered directly from FTP in Taiwan and mines arriving today and it’s been two days. 100% the way to go, crazy enough.
My pipe is touch the frame. Should i b concerned ? Should i take it out and install again? Put a rubber in between ?

Thanks for you comment. Our problem mainly was getting the pipe off. Fitting the new pipe was fairly straightforward. Which intercooler do you have?

Thanks for the comment. Yes, this was a challenge to get on, but I'm happy with it since we installed it.
About to get for my r56. Much difference in noise or power? Only have an intake on the car currently..
Thanks for your comment. There is definitely a difference in noise. You don't really notice much difference in power, but the power comes on smoother.
Hey do u guys take on private work with Mini Cooper s F56 model
Thanks for the question. Unfortunately, we don’t take on private work we just love working in this car.
Looking to upgrade mine on my f60, do you know if the f56 is compatible with the f60
Thanks for the question. I would imagine it’s the same since it would be engine specific.
FTP’s came with the clips right? Like you didn’t have to reuse the old ones?
Yes, it came with the clips.
Now what really improves here ? Apart from the account of the selling party ??

You don’t have a FORGE short shifter installed ???
So worth it !!!
Thanks for the suggestion. I'm definitely considering this upgrade in the near future.

Who did you order from? I ordered from ECS tuning 2 weeks ago and it continues to get delayed
@@lucascohen4689 I ordered mine from ecs tuning too 😂

We ordered from ECS tuning as well.

Well done guys.. very few videos, if any out there for this and even the ISTA guides are saying drill out rivits, etc etc.. yeah no. Well done!
Thanks!!! Glad we could figure out how to do it without drilling out rivits.
