We feed the deer every evening and one female deer we called mother. She injured her leg, was in bad shape. She brought her little baby here where she knew it was safe, food source, then she passed away. Her baby is grown and beautiful. We feel blessed mother deer left her baby on our land. ❤💕
You should not feed deer or any wildlife because you might not feed them the right food so they can become ill or even die from eating wrong foods and also because they gradually lose their normal life and become dependent on humans, can’t survive in the wild
Meanwhile momma deer thinks: Stop being so sentimental! Just give me your hand to lick and we'll leave. Oh God, have you never seen a fawn? I see them all the time. Give me your hand!
@@ConvictedFelon2024 Usually it's to control their own population because where there's people, there's usually decreased predator activities. Also, food. No, you don't have to hunt them, but hunting and preparing meat is a skill that needs to be preserved. It's not different than the survival skills of farming, foraging, and collecting rainwater out in the wilderness.
Precious. We had a herd of wild white tails on our farm in northern New York. The buck had a huge rack, and at least a dozen does in his harem. One of the does had a habit of walking right up to the bedroom window of our camp and peering in. One day, she brought her little fawn around, to show her off. After that day, she would be seen regularly around the camp with her baby. Once white tails get used to you, they can become very tame, like the ones in this post. At least as far as the does go, that is. The bucks are another story, they will wait in the woods nearby, keeping a watchful eye on their wives and children.
I’ve got a family of deer that live in the woods of my backyard. They’re not afraid of people at all. I always see them napping in my backyard. I like having them around
Yes, it really is; when I look out on the woods behind my house, and see all of the animals, it makes me think of how beautiful the whole world must have looked before skyscrapers, filthy streets, telephone poles, tenement housing, big block stores. We humans have definitely uglified the world. Luckily, there are still forests. I was praying one day in the little sanctuary garden about 100 yards from my church. It has curved benches so it is a circle. I was standing there in front of the bench one day, saw a deer out of the corner of my eye, and thought it must be a statue (it was perfectly still) so I paid no attention to it. Then it moved! and I realized it was a live deer, standing about 6 to 8 feet away. I was so startled, I slowly moved back a few inches and sat on the bench. I thought it would take off after it saw me move. Instead, it laid down in the circle, just a few feet away, and started cleaning itself, lifting legs, rolling over, etc. I was astonished. It stayed there for 15 minutes, until I was ready to leave, and the deer didn't leave until I left. I was amazed.
This is so cute. I have 6 apple trees in my front yard and it's a joy to watch them out the window and still run if I were to go outside. They should be afraid of humans, as hard as that is, They still hunt around here.
If you make friends with your local deer like this lady is doing they are much easier to hunt. Why sit in the bush for 12 hours when you can train them to come to you?
same but building of houses is also a threat for them its their home. deers are the most innocent they are friendly but in a good enviroment with good ppl
I have woods behind my house, and wild raspberries all around. The deer come just about every day, and park their babies in the tall grass and among the bushes. You can see them if you're really looking, but it's amazing how, in a real forest, where the sunlight just dapples through here and there, the babies truly blend right in; the white spots blend in with the sunlight (and no I don't feed them)
This is cute, but wild animals need to stay wild. If they lose their fear of humans, it puts their lives at risk. If you feed them (which she must be, or they'd never come that close) they'll stop foraging and their young won't learn to forage. The young learn to depend on humans for food. Please know this isn't just for deer, but all wildlife. If you love animals please watch from a distance. I know it's hard, but by doing so you're protecting them and their future generations. Sincerely an animal lover with a Biology degree.
Get a fucking life. They're not going to be living under her roof getting fed 24/7 so they're going to still forage and I have a biology degree as well; that doesn't make one an expert and you know it. 🙄🙄🙄
She should make a pipe fence in middle of her yard about at least 7 or 8 feet to hang feeding buckets n a couple extra buckets for water n a bail of hay for them

I was thinking the same thing. People are sadistic, that's why. Nobody does it to avoid starvation anymore.

You shouldn’t feed wild animals and I am sure you know that. Stop.
No
This is not cute whatsoever!! They are use to human contact and that will get them killed in hunting season. So irresponsible of this woman.
Dang it, I hate when that happens
I don't care. I'd rather risk having a friend at my own expense than live my entire life in constant fear.
