Wave Pool SUP Surfing

My second trip to BSR was SO MUCH FUN!!! Seriously the best time surfing artificial chlorinated waves! This trip we had so much time to surf as a group and choose a bunch of different settings. I did not SUP Surf as much as I expected to this trip, as I was having so much fun shortboarding and working on improving basic skills every wave. Killer video. Love the tubes and airs. Looks like you’re underwater standing on that board. What are your thoughts on low liter boards when you’re surfing in the ocean? I got a few low liter boards but I struggle to stand up, and have to constantly paddle for stability. Do you normally ride a board that floats you better in the ocean when there is chop?

Thank you Dana!! This is the same board I ride in the ocean!!! Low liters really allow for that performance edge, so I don't ride anything else. But yea definitely a challenge paddle them. I do have a bigger board, but it is for bigger waves.

Love those airs still trying to attempt to take off myself. I would love a how to on sup airs but in the meantime. Any tips on board selection/ wave conditions? I surf a 8’0 x 27 91 liter sup. Is that too big to try to air on? You make it look easy
