- So I've always wanted to make my own Cinnamon Raisin Loaf and I finally DID IT!!! This loaf came out perfect and was over a foot long! Try this delicious recipe!
Simple Cinnamon Raisin Bread Loaf
1 Cup Milk 4 Tbsp Brown Sugar 1 Pk Yeast 6 Tbsp Melted Butter
2 Eggs (room temp) 3 1/2 Cups Flour 1 tsp Salt 1/2 Cup Raisins
Cinnamon Filling
4 Tbsp Butter (soft) 1/3 Cup Brown Sugar 2 tsp Cinnamon
Egg Wash
1 Eggs 2 Tbsp Milk
This Recipe is from The Pioneer Woman Website I did alter the recipe a bit to fit how I wanted my loaf!
First place warm milk, brown sugar and yeast in a medium bowl and allow to sit for at 10 mins or until foamy.
Once foamy add eggs, butter, and salt mix well, then start to add flour 1 cup at a time stirring in between each cup. Dough will be sticky! Once combined flour kneading surface and knead 4 mins then add raisins and knead an additional minute.
Place kneaded dough in buttered bowl making sure to butter dough surface as well.
Allow to rise at least one hour or until doubled in size!
Pour risen dough out onto floured surface and stretch out to match the length of your baking pan, spread soft butter over the entire surface then mix remaining filling ingredients well (cinnamon, brown sugar) mix well then spread over buttered surface.
Roll loaf towards you and once rolled pinch seam closed and place seam side down in baking pan, cover and allow to rise for another hour. Make Egg wash whisking egg with milk and brush over surface of raised loaf.
Place loaf in Preheated Oven 350 Degrees and allow to bake 35-45 mins, once golden brown remove from oven and allow to cool! The bread tastes amazing warm or toasted! ENJOY!!
