As a German, it was so surreal to hear the song "Christmas tree" in English for the first time. But also very lovely. 🥰 I absolutely love your vlogs, they're helping me get into the mood during a very lonesome year. Thank you for that! ❤
I went to Chicago in 1982, as a Senior trip. We had such a great time! I'm from TN and found a purse to purchase buy in Macys. I had to talk to them before I could buy it. They loved my Tennessee twang, lol.I'd love to return to visit Chicago again, now that I'm older.
This was soooo fun and festive!!!!! Thank you for taking us along!!!! I wanna visit Chicago one of these days and now I’m convinced it’s GOTTA be at Christmastime!!!!!!
Thanks for your video. Brings back so many fond memories. Every year my parents would take my brother and I to Marshall Field's at Christmastime to meet Santa and tell him what we wanted for Christmas. We would also get to pick out a toy. Had lunch in the Walnut room under the giant Christmas tree. The windows were just magical, so original and everything had moving parts like dogs tail was wagging, Santa coming down the chimney, toy train circling the Christmas tree, children getting bundled up to go play in the snow. There was nothing to compare to the Christmas windows at Marshall Fields. There were about 20 total windows circling the building. There were Salvation Army volunteers sounding Christmas bells and hoping for donations. There was Christmas music in the Streets. Very fond memories. Then as a young adult, I loved the fragrance department at Marshall Fields which occupied one whole city block. I loved sampling as many fragrances as I possibly could, but I only made a small dent compared to the total number of fragrances available. I have never found anything comparable to it. I did notice that the Christmas windows were no longer as meticulously constructed as in my childhood. They were still pretty but somewhat boring and no longer generated the sense of wonder as in earlier times. I have long since left Chicago, so I really appreciated seeing this store again after so many years. Glad to see that it still remains a great place. But I know what you mean that some aspects seem to be declining and it is very sad. Sounds like the windows just aren't the same. The native Chicagoans were just so shocked in 2006 when Macy's purchased Marshall Field's for it was truly a Chicago institution and it just felt almost obscene that it would be no more. Kind of like if your mom divorced your dad and remarried someone else. Her new husband just does not have the same standing as your true dad. But time moves on and unfortunately we have Macy's in every city and suburb where in the past there were only locally owned department stores. Each store was unique. Of couse the same holds true for restaurants. Most everything is a franchise these days where in the past the restaurants were run by individual owners and not corporate conglomerates. Thanks for letting me reminisce about the good old days. I miss them.
You captured the most amazing shots of Fields Tiffany ceiling! 😍 I still haven't gotten over them selling to Macy's. 😞 Hope you had a Merry Christmas.🎄
So true. I commented about my childhood memories of Marshall Field's in a separate comment if you're interested in reading it. It took me several years after graduating college to leave Chicago because I couldn't imagine Christmas anywhere else.
Loved this! Everything was so beautiful and festive🎄 your poor brother! I had pneumonia 2 months ago and it lasted a whole month. In fact I still wheeze when I breathe every once in awhile. It was awful. I hope you and your mom stay healthy!🙏🏼♥️
Oh my gosh! My daughter and I watch your channel almost every day. We were watching the eras tour tonight and when she played New Romantics we both looked at each other and said Kiki!!!! I hope you got to stream it
You make me want to walk around the mall with my family until im sweating and thirsty and my arms hurt from carrying bags 😆 The mall in my hometown doesnt exist anymore though. Also, i wonder if i have pneumonia
As a born and raised Los Angelean, I’ve been watching your videos and hearing how highly you speak of your Macy’s Christmas traditions& ornaments and been confused, because Macy’s in LA are in run down malls and always empty. But then you showed the INSIDE…AND OMG I UNDERSTAND NOW😍😍
Living in Australia it’s amazing to see Chicago at Christmas and all those stunning lights. Macys looks amazing, it’s like watching a Christmas movie. I’m so sorry you missed out on getting your Macy’s Christmas decoration. At least you managed to get the snow globe. It’s funny how we buy things when you go away and then after you get back to where you’re staying, then hits mmmm how will I fit this in my suitcase. I’ve done that so much through the years 😂 especially our 3 month Europe holiday. !!! 🤦♀️🩷 have a relaxing day tomorrow 🩷🎄🎅🏻
As a mall worker in a smaller town, please shop at stores around you & quit Amazon! Please? Soon there won't be any brick & mortar stores & how boring would that be? Merry Christmas!
hello kiki and how your own day and night going and have you thought about live streaming on twitch and kick and youtube and tiktok and discord and patreon and rumble at the same time at once in the future
Kylie, when will you ever stop being so lazy and list the makeup you wear and maybe a few more things in the video that were highlighted? Is it only affiliate links for you? You have a decent fan base and I can’t be the only one wondering what contour your wearing or eye pallet you used.. I love watching your channel but damn… I can’t stand the laziness. I had to rewatch and zoom in 8 times to see that you’re using ELF contour ( I think I see you use it a lot) I just hope I get the shade right. It looks so good and we have similar skin tones. And no point in leaving a comment to just ask you because I’ve ,done that before and I never get answered..

I miss it being Marshall Fields soooo much! 😢 the windows, the Walnut room, Frango mints... just not quite the same. Still beautiful though.
Still have Frango! I work at a Macys
Chicago is such a vibe! I've never been during Christmas but it's beautiful, definitely on my list now! :)

There's nothing like Chicago during Christmas ❤

Enjoying your Vlogmas soooo much!! I have never been to Chicago. It looks beautiful!
That snow globe will have to be checked in… I’m telling you from experience a friend had to throw out her Disney snow globe from her checked bag…
Yes! This happened to me a few years ago, TSA threw it away ☹️
What is she wearing on her eyes? They are so sparkly today! I cant stop staring at her eyeshadow.
Kylie I love your vlogs! You deserve so many more views than you do.

Have you ever had Afternoon Tea at the Drake? It’s the best. You have to do that at least once when you are in Chicago sometime.
I miss Marshall Field's SOOOOOOO much! You lucked out on the weather warming up.
I have to Bioionic curling iron. It is the best!

It's the Marshall Field's building and it was built in the late 1800's. It didn't become Macy's until 2006.
wait you drove?! I am so out of the loop lol where do you live?!
I live in city proper but have not been downtown in ages. you inspired me!
I went to Chocago some years back. Wasnt there 2 Macy's in Chicago? More toward the Museum area?

Do you have extensions in??
Yes, she can’t grow her own hair so she puts fake ass extensions in.
@@christinapretorius2234What in the world is wrong with you? Why would you say it so rudely? Gross comment.
I’m in Australia and my housemate has pneumonia!!

Pneumonia isn't contagious.
Cyanide poisoning mimics pneumonia. If everyone is suddenly getting it maybe it is something in the food, air, or water.
Uhh..yes it most certainly is.
Our Macy’s store is disgusting. Lots of homeless people around and dirty and gross. The store you were at looks amazing.
