Nvm, just went through all of your vids and u tried some dyes on gray in some vids. May I ask what makes u choose certain colored hair for certain colors? Like how do you choose which colors you want to use for certain videos?
The pack of hair swatches I buy comes with a few non-traditional swatches but only one of each color (for example, the pack will have two platinum blonde swatches but only one green swatch) so that limits me a bit. Usually I try to do one swatch that I think the dye may cover nicely (in this case it was the red swatch, I was hoping it might make a burgundy color) and a swatch that's a bit further on the spectrum from the color dye I'm doing. I also like to keep in mind just how dark or light the dye might be... like there's no point in using a dark blue swatch with a pastel pink dye kind of thing lol BUT I will keep in mind using a gray swatch more often :)

It took me so long to get my hair as light as it was. I should play it safe and only use the colors u swatch lol
@@shiitheead Just use some hairs from your brush Clean your brush once per week or more often and keep those hairs for a test..This way saved me many times At least If it turns out to green I'm going to know it from before xD
@@DeepDarknesss i dye my hair so often, my brush has all kinds of different colored hair strands in it. My hair is no longer gray. Its hot hot pink on top, voodoo blue in the middle and purple haze at the bottom. You can only imagine how my brush looks lol

I was originally planning on buying Radiant Orchid from Ion or Ultra Violet from Manic Panic, but Radiant Orchid looks way too warm and Ultra Violet looks way too cool- Looks like Purple Rain is going to be my color!!
I have used purple rain to cover up a terrible dye job done by a cosmetology student. I can confirm Purple rain is a warmer by itself. And it was able to cover the dye job. Half my hair was covered in dye and the other half was not. So it blended both sides to make my hair all one color.my hair was a level 5 swatch on this video and was bleached to a level 10. For anyone wanting to know. It lasted me 3 months and I did not dilute it.

i currently have diluted purple rain in my hair and after washing it 3, maybe 4 (i don’t remember) times, it’s almost all completely pink :( i started with a color close to 10, with some parts being closer to 9 and others to 11. my hair does typically pick up pink tones extremely well though. i used the dye straight out of the bottle on my hair before and it also turned extremely pink then to. however i used it also straight form the bottle on someone with natural red hair (similar to swatch 3) and it looked amazing, and faded beautifully (no pink tones) so it’s probably just my hair
When you dilute any Semi-permanent hair color with conditioner, the conditioner can, depending on the ingredients, actually block your hair follicles from absorbing the Pigment. That's why you're not supposed to condition your hair before you dye it, only shampoo it.
Does anyone have any recs with dye (any colors) that is this super pigmented? My hair is super thick and zaps up anything (one 12 oz bottle of conditioner/dye mix took up only half my head) like crazy and we're low income so we can't buy extra things of dye and will need to dilute it a ton with conditioner so it covers my entire head while being cost effective. I want bright colors but my hair just doesn't want to cooperate and it's so not cost effective for nice dye

Can you mix poison and purple rain? I watched ritual mixed with it and hated it. Arctic fox recommends poison and purple rain for burgundy. I'm curious because I have medium to light brown hair that hasn't been dyed in 3 years and don't want to bleach to get a good burgundy.
Extremely well. It would go over green or teal hair too. Red would be more difficult but it could go over a pink as well. Goes over yellow great as long as you don't dilute it too much.
