A tip that I just learned from another video. Pull the cotter pin on the gas shock, lean the bed back a bit further. Might save doing damage to your melon! Lol. I've had mine for almost a year and up until recently, there weren't many videos on Defender maintenance. Thanks for posting!
Nice video. Maybe you know after this, but just remove that cotter pin on the shock where it connects to the bed, pull the pin, and the bed will tilt back almost 90 degrees resting against the tires. It will give you a lot more room to work under there.
Ezekiel Esquibel yeah I've hit all the grease zerks. Seems like there's at least 16 of them. As far as Trans oil I just use what the book calls for. 75W-140 GL-5. Whatever brand you prefer. Thanks for watching. More videos to come so make sure you subscribe!
Rob W there's actually four of us involved with this channel. Between us we have a Teryx, Polaris Ranger, Can Am Defender, and two RZR'S. We plan on doing videos of all general maintenance on all of these machines.
Okay I understand thank you I'm surprised the other guys didn't decide to go with the Terex I guess unless you're writing to somebody else that has the same you're kind of limited to where you can go when you're with especially the Polaris Ranger
Hi Rob , Joe here. I considered the Teryx and almost went that way. The value and capability of the Teryx is hard to beat! I just found the right deal at the right time on a used RZR and pulled the trigger. We like having a variety of machines and experiencing what each has to offer.
Just did my first oil change in my defender. I went with Schaeffer oil 5w-50 racing oil. Best oil in the world 👍 www.schaefferoil.com Americas oldest oil company

Thanks for video, it helps when it comes to first timers trying their hand at servicing their own UTV.

Gotcha at the end of the day as long as your happy and works for you that's all that matters ✔💯👍
Excellent vid thanks for sharing
Nice ride. What type of oil are you running in the transmission? Have you hit all the grease zerks yet?

Anyone have a video on how to change oil in a 2020 Can Am Defender hd 10 with hvac?
We don't have one unfortunately. I've heard it's pretty tight in there now with the added accessories
T6 5w-40, liquid gold these days.
Can’t even find it at Walmart anymore these days
