- Kyle and Jay shared their wedding day with their family, friends, and LGBTQ ally community. They invited anyone who wanted to better understand the LGBTQ experience to celebrate with them.
This is a condensed video of their ceremony. It begins with Kyle and Jay’s personal stories, Dolly makes an appearance, and the event concludes with the wedding ceremony (and a special surprise from Kyle and Jay’s kids).

Kyle was raised Mormon, in Utah. He was married to a woman for nearly 10 years and he’s the father to four kids. He is the host of the LatterGayStories podcast, a resource created to build community, visibility and understanding of the LGBTQ+ community.
Jay is from Minnesota and met Kyle after stalking him on social media. He is a nurse, a Vikings fan, and one of the loudest “cheer moms” at the kids’ dance competitions.

Wow! What a story! These two men, after a terrible upbringing made their way to each other, even though they lived in different states. Now, they are married, and living the life that they deserve.

Satan, also called the adversary or the devil, is the enemy of all righteousness and of those who seek to follow God. he and his followers try to lead us away from righteousness. he has many schemes to mislead and turn man from God. satan attempts to undermine us by confusing gender, promoting sexual relations outside of marriage, ridiculing marriage, and discouraging childbearing by married adults who would otherwise raise children in righteousness. The Bible condemns any form of sexual act that is considered “worthless” in God's eyes.. homosexuality, beastiality, fornication, and adultery. God made man & women as a perfect couple to be fruitful, multiply and replenish the earth. Going against His image & His design is going against Him. We aren't here to change the word of God the word of God is here to change us, What are the actual "fruits"-the results-of the homosexual lifestyle? Suffering, Unfulfillment, Nothingness! homosexual activity leads to a host of serious diseases (STDs) HIV, transmitted Infections, and other physical problems, mental health problems, major depression, anxiety, substance abuse and greater risk of suicidal and a greatly shortened lifespan and the suffering list goes on. Why are there so many diseases? Why such young deaths? It has to do with the sexual practices. It goes against how God created bodies to work. And when you violate God’s design, there are always consequences. A person may be born with a greater susceptibility to homosexuality, just as some people are born with a tendency to violence and other sins. That does not excuse the person’s choosing to sin by giving in to sinful desires. Just because a person is born with a greater susceptibility to fits of rage, that doesn’t make it right for him to give in to those desires and explode at every provocation. The same is true with a susceptibility to homosexuality. Same-sex attraction is always an expression of the fallen nature. But if you repent now, God forgiveness starts the process and His power continues to work in us, when we say yes to Him. But when we fail to listen to God, then problems, affliction and suffering will be the consequence of disobedience. I say this lovingly and to say truth in love is to love one another. Do not value your homosexuality Sin more than you value God. the only hope for the homosexual and all people who break God's laws is to turn to Christ. If we want to walk with Christ we must repent and reject our fleshly desires and deny ourselves. God promises the strength for victory over sin, including homosexuality, to all those who will believe in Jesus Christ for their salvation.

Oh my gosh! Jay getting the Step Queen Crown was the real cherry on top. What a wonderful journey and on to the next chapter!
It was *absolutely* one of my favorite parts of the night.
This story was so sad thinking about how a difficult life of these two had to go through, lots of personal struggle, denial, suppressed their true feeling. I am glad that they had courage to acknowledge and accept themselves as who they are.

True, Jesus wants them to come ro Him, as they are and turn away from the sin that they are in by washing those unclean thoughts and actions with His blood. Repent and sin no more is what He says... I would love to see you giving birth to babies in a natural way... Truth hurts but 'it' saves. Its all worth it for good in us all our lives. Love from India... 🙏❤️🙏

What a love story you guys! Beautiful. I lost my partner of 7 yrs in 1999. I grieved so hard I said I would never do this again. I'm 64 now and I held to it. It's sad really after watching this. It was the happiest time and I treasure that time together but I refused to go through that heartache ever again. I went into a dark depression then and shortly after I became a saved Christian. I was a convert at 19 and served a faithful mission but knew I was gay so...lived that life from 1980-1999.
I know your grief! I, too, am widowed after a WONDERFUL 30 years of being together (just 12 weeks of legal marriage before I lost him !!). I am 67.

I was a member of the Exclusive Brethren. I know how you have felt. I too married but children were not bestowed upon us! I finally came out after 16 years but 9 was terrified to come out too! Oh my goodness I feel these men's pain!

Wow! … Congratulations Kyle and Jay ! What a fabulous wedding ! I am a regular viewer of Latter Gay Stories, even though I did not grow up Mormon. I WAS however around Mormons my whole life, growing up in Hawaii with a Dad who worked for a Mormon outfit and then working, myself, for Bonneville Broadcasting. I was together with my partner of 30 years and eventually was married to him for just 12 weeks before he was diagnosed and died of liver cancer. It was a kind-of-reverse fairy tale. I am SOOOO moved by both your stories, and that you were able to find each other at a relatively young age to spend the rest of your days together. It does my heart well, that things have changed beginning with your generation. God Bless you both!

I’ve listened to Kyle’s story on his website and the interview by John Dehlin on Mormon stories.
I’ve never met Kyle, but love him dearly. Within 30 seconds of hearing Jay speak in this video, I knew why Kyle fell in love with him immediately.
Being a gay, and also woke up to the ills of Mormonism, and married to a woman, I’m able to fully relate.
In Book of Mormon fashion I used a lot of the word “and” in that sentence 😂

It is incredibly inspiring to see with what braveness, what integrity, and what true spiritual kindness you showed along your long path to try and fit yourself into the patriarchal Mormon mould. I am beyond proud of both of you for sharing your messages with me! I grew up as the youngest daughter of a Southern Baptist Minister. I spent a tremendous amount of time reading my bible. To my knowledge nobody has ever seen the face of God. The bible teaches that we are made in God's image. I have often wondered why Jesus' birth was by immaculate conception. Maybe it was necessary. Who knows? Who cares? Bottom line...I am a woman in her late sixties who believes that we are ALL made in God's image. I am surprised that even two women got their own Books in the Bible. The bible was written by men. I never question anything that is written in red. Everything else can be interpreted in various different ways.
