    No, they didn’t.
    The great white evolved from the broadtooth mako shark (now extinct). Megalodon was an otodus shark, and it came from a single lineage of sharks that gradual grew and changed slightly until we ended up with megalodon. That chain ended upon megalodon’s extinction. Megalodon also potentially existed at the same time as the first great whites, meaning that one didn’t turn into the other. So not only were they not even related in the slightest (apart from the fact they were sharks), but they also existed at the same point in time, so no, they did not turn into great whites.

    That's an interesting question....Earth was a very different place then and obviously much warmer due to the size of the animals. Earlier Great White teeth were larger then they are today however, not even close to a smaller Meg tooth, so I dont think that the Meg turned into the Great White of today......distant relatives? Perhaps. Great White teeth dont really resemble Meg teeth. I have examples of both and looking at them, they're from 2 completely different animals.....

    I believe that megalodon didn’t went extinct. I believe the great white shark and the megalodon is the same animal. The bible says animals used to live for a very long time before the flood. Imagine how big a great white shark would get if it lived for maybe 200 years. Fishes and reptiles don’t stop grow until they die.

    • @lucashernandez4345
      @lucashernandez4345 Год назад

      Do you really believe those fantasy biblic stories? None of it makes sense. C. Megalodon has nothing to do with the Great White at all apart from being sharks, they aren't even related.

    Submarine and other Great White Sharks are out there in the Oceans and Seas today that are much larger than 23ft. I believe if you leave the Great White Sharks alone, then they could grow up to much larger sizes than people would expect. I believe that all of those Sharks still exist, such as the Megalodon, and the Broad Tooth Mako Shark, because as you look at Shark week and other shows. They would only go to a specific place not that far from Land. The most that the study in size as farcasca Great White Sharks is concerned, half of the time would be around 12 ft. To 20 ft. Long in size. It takes a lot to go out into all of the Oceans and Seas and study what is in the Deep depths to find much larger Sharks and is very Dangerous as well. I think that the much larger Sharks are dwelling in areas much farther out away from humans and land. I think that there are some out there that are 60 ft. Or larger still living. People have found Sea creatures that they thought was extinct, still living.

      Megalodon prefers the warmer water so it wouldn't be hiding in deeper waters where it's cold. Plus and animal that big and with that kind of appetite would leave plenty of evidence in the former of tore up whale carcasses if it still lived today.

    Given the high degree of difficulty and cost in exploring our ocean using underwater vehicles, researchers have long relied on technologies such as sonar to generate maps of the seafloor. Currently, less than ten percent of the global ocean is mapped using modern sonar technology. For the ocean and coastal waters of the United States, only about 35 percent has been mapped with modern methods.

Like i said the meg is related to the great white. So it wouldn't live in the deep where we wouldn't be able to see it. It would live in the shallow where the great white is.

    I still think Megalodon and the modern great white have to much in common to not be related. Maybe they just have a common ancestor instead of one descending from the other.
    What I don't believe is that the actual meg could still exist. Maybe it simply disappeared or maybe it evolved. All I know is there's no way it would be the same animal it used to be; in order to actually survive it would have had to change so much it simply wouldn't be a meg anymore. That's why I don't understand why people keep talking about the meg as if it was an obvious scientific fact that it still exists.

      The Megalodon shares no close common ancestor with the Great White. Apart from being sharks.
