I got married in October last year and I had so much fun I watched every video Jamie put out and now I'm watching them just because I love her videos I'm now planning a huge graduation/ going away party for my daughter and trust me Jamie's advice still stands for all occasions
Feeling like I'm a little weird at this point. I'm more wedding crazy than my soon to be daughter in law. She's a blessing to our family, i finally get a girl, and my son is an only child. I'm so excited!!!! The shopping frenzy is in full swing!
Getting married in 2025 but I’ve been describing my color palette as “Bridgerton pastels” so you are spot on!! Your description is exactly what I’m going for: over the top florals, very romantic and whimsical and coquettish. However mine will be mainly pink with accents of light blue and lavender, so no peach fuzz in sight😜 Thank you for another great video, they are always so helpful and inspiring!
You are so fun, I laughed so many times watching this video! “I don’t care but also my Dad’s a rocker” 🤣 It's definitely a feeling. Thanks for sharing, these trends line up so well with everything else I've been seeing! So interesting to think about the influence of popular TV shows --- Bridgerton, Yellowstone, Friends, etc. Love it!
@@patricia1468 yes we are trying to incorporate Victorian decor as well as highclere images wherever possible. Bridesmaids dresses look Victorian as well with detachable sweep trains and they are wearing hair vines to match their jewelry.
I was not pleased to hear brown/ruby/silver/blue eyeshadow/peach. But I hung in there anyway and finally pastels! Elegant dresses or bows for feminine touches! I’m ok with Western decor too (Yellowstone influence?).
I feel like another trend is going to be digital invitations. I just spend a ton of time and money for out invites only to find out that HALF of them still haven’t been delivered thanks to the current USPS mail issues!
Honestly digital would save you the hassle. I didn't find our until days before the wedding that several of our invitations never made it. They got the save the date but not the invitations.
My wedding this summer will be Bridgerton Garden themed in the pastels and tons of flowers! But overall I want the vibe to feel comfortable and personal! Only peach will be in the flowers 😂 we will be layering patterns in the signage and bows will be incorporated into the decor!🎀
What about a nice dark steel gray as a metallic? Also what about the much cooler burgundies. Just that nice warm tone is more of a maroon than a burgundy. A true burgundy that is a darker dollar version of cherry red.
Lol I’ve never seen bridgerton so im not sure about the reference but Ive landed on pastel western bc I wanted boho western but felt the classic orange is too fall 😅 too funny
@@raes3369 Reader's digest version: The venue was an equestrian place with a converted machine shop. We had an out door wedding. Colors were dark jewel tones with gold accents. Grey table cloths with black lace runners. Just very moody. My husband and his groomsmen wore dark purple vests, black slacks and their boots. My bridal party wore black velvet. 🥰
I’m interested in becoming a wedding planner I just wish I knew how to understand the contacts and pricing “charges” for the couple or family soooo much
I'd charge a % of the couple's overall budget for their wedding for your services and time specified (working schedule/time dedicated) on the contract. If time worked goes beyond what is on contract, put a clause in that specifies per hour rate and that would be charged on to of %. Good luck with your endeavor!
I'm doing blue hydrangeas for my wedding flowers. Sams 75 count for 90$. I'm doing a small wedding about 20-50 people so a few boxes for down the aisle and around the tent area will look gorgeous, plus a few boxes of babies breath. I have faux flowers for my centerpiece toppers, arch flowers and other areas and plan to mix them real and fake. I found someone who sold me their champagne faux garden roses with faux eucalyptus on OfferUp. All the up close flowers I will use real flower. Besides the real babies breath and hydrangeas, we have local rose farms around so I found buying roses from Trader Joe's or we have "Fry's" we can get 2 doses roses for 12.99 so it's cheaper to buy these in person. I will use to add to my bridal bouquet I'm making with real flowers. Another reason I'm shopping for roses in store, because I want peach and more champagne roses and they are cheaper in the store than buying a box, not all color roses cost the same, plus Sam's has gorgeous seasonal roses for example the Myra garden roses, but just will see what's in season.
Jamie - I've been watching you for about a year, and I just got engaged! Any recs for 12/12/24 wintery wedding? I'll sub to your email list lmao, nice plug

In the South, big hair, bows, and pastels have never left 😂❤
Totally this
I LOVED the Zenon nod there! 😂 Every time I have the house to myself I watch all 3 of them in a row just 'cause I can. Zoom zoom zoom!
Grungy space cowboy is so real. Called out.

I’m down with the leather jacket ideas.
I literally had a "y'all-ternative" wedding in November! Highly recommend!
I need to know so much more about this!
