    Thanks for the detailed video!
    I'm planning to get either mk2s or g1, but i heard a rumor about g1.
    When g1 is almost full of logs , thoes it get slower? And do I have to erase all the logs to fix it?

    How does the GPS work? You can mark entry and exit spots with the watch. But is there a map that appears on the watch? Does the GPS track you through the water? Can you save spots for spear fishing as an example that will appear on the watch, so that you can find them easily in future dives?

    • @lizaking25
      @lizaking25 2 года назад

      I have one of the Descents. GPS doesnt work when you’re underwater, so it doesn’t track your route once you’re under. But the entry and exit points save to a map on the watch and you can review all of them on the app and share the coordinates if you want to. You can swim directly to previous entry/exit points or saved locations on the surface using the Navigation feature and descend right where you want to be.

      HI, GPS only works at the surface, it is for marking drop points and pick up points, it does not work underwater as it cannot triangulate satelites underwater.

    I have a question. Can you delete the scuba dive activities from your favourites?
    I really like the watch but I don't use the dive things.
    (I now I should buy the instinct 2 solar, but I have that one and I don't like the looks from it that much. And it doesn't have sapphire..) I will return the instinct and consider to buy the descent G1

      I just received the watch and remembered you asked this question under almost every review Video of the Descent G1 😉 And I can confirm, you can delete the dive options from your favourites and select which ever favourites you like.

      Battery is built in, to replace battery you will need to send it into a garmin workshop for them to do.

    This a great review and tutorial. (YES +) however this watch is not for me and many diver I know. Too many function and difficult for screen navigation. Very Very low battery life.
    Not recommend for DIVING very small screen and difficult to use. Solar function is not real it. In 3 days under the sun it will charge 3 to 5% max. it will depend on regular electricity.

      HI, have you tried to hard reset it? Then do firmware update and sync to see if that clears it. If that does not help best to bring it back to the guys you bought it from or send it into the nearest Garmin support centre for them to run a diagnostic.
