    Hi, is it possible to navigate to a previously visited dive spot in the water using the compass? Because I was only able to see turn-by-turn navigation.

    well all is good but transmitter is not yet available...you could have at least released both at the same time...there is a bundle set in the description on the garmin site, but this bundle cannot be seen anywhere, when it will be available and at what price in Europe?

    100 hrs of battery life of the transmitter? ups! That's 5 weeks for me...😭 But I will buy it anyway.

    How do I keep it from automatically logging dives whim I’m just snorkeling? Every time I submerge it starts a new dive.

    Would be the perfect watch, if it came with solar+sapphire screen, and "UV detection/solar radiation" alarm for pilots. :)

    Great video. My husband has the MK2i and T1, I have the MK2s, and he got a second T1 for my regulator. I've heard that he can export the data from the transmitter on my regulator so that I can import it to my dive log, but we cannot figure out how to do it. Any tips?

  • @amandakasper4986
    @amandakasper4986 2 года назад

    Is there any hope of you releasing a Mk2s with T1 capabilities? I really prefer the smaller style and better colors, but I would rather wait to buy one if it would also have air integration in the future.

    Any plans of releasing a stainless steel version with Air integration?

    Hi and thanks for the presentation. Am really happy about the air integration but have a question about the included maps for which I don't immediately find an answer in the documentation: are the included map areas limited to location it's bought as is the case with other Garmin products? As I'm buying it in Europe, does that mean I won't have the dive sites or tide info for other locations? I do most of my diving on holidays to all corners of the world so would be a bummer if limited to just Europe and could be a deal breaker if no way to upload other diving regions.

    • @GarminRetailTraining
      @GarminRetailTraining  3 года назад +1

      Thank you for your question. The base maps in the Descent Mk2 are the same as our fenix devices. However, the Dive Sites and Tide Info are global. I hope this helps.

    Thank you for a great presentation.
    I have the MK1 today and plan to upgrade to the MK2 or MK2i.
    On the MK2i, if you do not have paired an transmitter, what is shown on the screen while in dive mode? Is the section with the tank display left blank, or is it used for some other information, or is the section removed so the display then looks like the one on the MK2? That would be very valuable for me when deciding which model to choose...

      Thank you for your question. That data field will default to water temp. But that row is customizable, allowing you to put any of our dive data fields there that you would like. I hope this helps.

      never waste your money on the mk2. You should the mk2i so you always have the optional T1 add on. If you buy the mk2, you miss out on AI

    I have Garmin MK1 titanium, and its disign i like much more than MK2. The design is more strict, in the titanium version with a titanium bracelet, this is almost a classic strict watch that can be worn under a business suit. The design of the new model is honestly not impressed. Yes, there are obvious advantages: a larger display with a higher resolution, and a stock of internal memory. But the most important thing is of course the interface with the transmitter. But as i remember, Garmin MK1 have ANT+ interface too. What prevents manufacturers from releasing an operating system update so that the MK1 can also support pairing with the transmitter?

    The old buttons were a problem for a friend of mine. They kept malfunctioning. Does the air integration show gasses simultaneously in real time even when the regulator is not being used like when in sidemount?

    • @GarminRetailTraining
      @GarminRetailTraining  3 года назад +2

      Thank you for your question. Yes. And for side mount we also allow you to use multiple transmitters to factor into the gas consumption rate as well (SAC/RMV).

    • @GarminRetailTraining
      @GarminRetailTraining  3 года назад +2

      Thank you for your question. The Mk2i does not come with the Titanium band, but it is compatible with the same 26mm QuickFit bands that fit the Mk1. So, yes you can use the QuickFit band from your Mk1. Hope this helps.

    Hi there Garmin:)
    Thanks for a great video.
    I have just bought the Mk2i with the T1 and I'm wondering what the transmission will be if I have the T1 installed on the right side of my first stage (with a 15cm HP hose) while wearing the Mk2i on the left.
    Yes, I know it's not recommended but I hate wearing watches/Dive Computers on my right
    Would appreciate your experience with this:) Thx

    • @GarminRetailTraining
      @GarminRetailTraining  Год назад

      Thank you for your comment and question. While the same-side is recommended for best practice (for a clear line of sight to the watch), it likely will work just fine. If you notice drops in communication during a dive, you should try repositioning the pod or changing the transmitter power. I hope this helps.

      Thank you for your question. The Descent Mk2 Series has the topside features of the fenix 6, but the Descent Mk2 and Mk2i are advanced dive computers that offer so much more for exploring the depths, such as Dive Modes, Surface Multi-GNSS Technology, Dive Log, Air Integration with the Mk2i and T1 Transmitter, and more.
