A bit annoying that after purchasing a domain you then have to purchase a handle on that domain separately for $1.89. Would be nice if all could be done on a single transaction or perhaps a domain purchase included a handle with it.

New Update you can now do both in the same transaction :)
Make sure you record your 2FA back up code...I thought it was the same 2FA process using an authenitcator but it is not and now I am locked out of my account for 7 days. Fio customer service say they agree it is misleading language and say they are going to change as many will try to use authenticator and be locked out. I am trying to get this lock lifted so I can sign on via email/password but currently locked out and missing domain name Opportunities, not such a good user experience so far...
Yeah you should always backup your 2FA key most people don't but it comes in handy if your device gets chewed up. By the way if you want to get domains simply create another account in another browser or use a browser incognito in chrome or new private window in Brave, use the link q1r.us/d19QHg and grab the domains. I have created a few accounts for training purposes so it isn't an issue.
just to let you know I think the rush is coming I noticed a ton of domains are getting snapped up, the domain-hunters are starting.

I'm finding it not user friendly. 2FA means to me Google Authenticator 😢.
Totally confused. I was able to choose the free handle later I tried to login to get the domain locked out.
I did create another account I have no idea where in the signup is a code given 🤔 or 2FA
