Meh, I actually don’t like her face/makeup/screening that much and her hair doesn’t inspire me either. She was an easy pass for me. I enjoyed seeing the outfits/looks she got in this video, tho!! Also, as for why I don’t like her face…her eyes are a little freaky IMO; she’s got a somewhat vacant/blank stare. Plus her makeup is…not my style. Her upper lip looks overdrawn (I think? It’s hard to tell, I’d need to see better closeup photos) and the eye makeup is unappealing to me (the upper and lower lash styles don’t match).
This Barbie is glamorous looking just because of her facial expression. She has that look of a haute couture model walking the runway. The kimono look is perfection! The poses you placed her in while wearing it were over the top fabulous! Mattel should hire you as a designer of fashion packs and limited edition dolls. Just got my first two Looks dolls. The redhead and curvy from last year. The only thing I've done with them is curl the curvy ones hair. The side pony wasn't cutting it. The outfits, especially the curvy ones, look better than the ones from this year. I will eventually change their outfits, but they look good together, two curly hair girls just hanging out.
The kimono is by far my favorite!! I think she is a beautiful doll. It surprises me that she hasn’t been particularly popular. I’m considering getting her!!❤️💜🩷
I was on the fence with her tbh but I am a sucker for a doll with violet eyes, Mattel doesn't do it very often now. I think she's quiet pretty actually she's giving Liz Taylor in a modern way, and actually reminded me of Brenda 90210 doll, I think its the hair style, if I get her she's getting rerooted for sure! The kimono look was soooo dreamy, and she looks good in them all. Another greatly executed fashion look book. And yes a Ken look book please!!!! ✌💜✌🤗✌

I have her. I ordered her as soon as she was available. I also ordered the Supergirl doll because she was a made to move. I'm still waiting for her to arrive. I LOVED the Kimono Day Dream look. I have that doll, the 90's Japanese Barbie, but as much as I loved how she looked in it, I am NOT going to let her borrow the kimono. I'd rather buy the doll again. She is also one of my favorites.🙂

I’m the same way with the tall Barbie’s. I buy a ton of fashion packs and all of them fit well with other body types but are always a bit too short for the tall. I think it’s amazing that Mattel makes different body types, but get so many points off for not making clothes that fit all of them

Oh, yes. I can see that. I had my hair this way in the late 80s/early 90s, and she reminds me of that too. I like that she is a slightly retro take from a few decades ago, but she can still look contemporary.
I joined the Barbie club because of her. I think the Kimono is the best look! It suits her in everyway. With the sword and the fan, she reminds me of an action figure from a video game.
This doll reminds me of a prettier version of myself in the early 90s, and I am 5'10", so the tall body works too. I think she is a versatile doll when rebodied, as these restyles show. I do agree the lips are a bit too bright and maybe painted too large, but I have full lips and looked like that when I wore bright lipstick too, so I can't complain too much.

I loved all 3 looks, but you are right the kimono looks is the best. I kept wondering how she would look with the red kimono dolls of the world outfit? I will have to try it. Thank you for another great video. My only complaint with this doll is the dark red lipstick should be just a little lighter for me.
I think there are many reasons why she is still not sold out. Main reason is that she costs too much , 35 Euro for the doll + 10 Euro for 1-Year Barbie Signature Membership + shipping and taxes ... at the end the price could be from 70 to 90 Euro. Other reasons could be the tall body , the pale skin and the clothes. One other thing that I have notice is that the Lina head sculpt seems not to be so "wow" , I got all the BMR1959 and female Looks dolls (exept Model 13 and 19). I show very often my new dolls to my friends and family ... and the reaction to the Barbie Looks Model 1 (Lina) was always not so great , I have even dress her up many times. The only Barbie Looks dolls that got an even lower reaction was Model 12 , 15 and 7.
i got her a couple weeks ago , and i still havent unboxed her yet! which so unlike me. i love everything, her box the design of it, the doll , clothes and accessories, shoes!!! that face sculpt, hair make up , EVERYTHING SHIS THE MOMENT for me :)
I have her and I adore her. I have the wave one Line because my friend found her at a thrift store.. Score! I recently got 3 wave 2 dolls and 2 of the wave 3 dolls (love the Asian Ken). I love these they are gorgeous. #19 is probably my favorite though. My fav look was of course the kimono but the one you stuck with was a close second!

I also like that she comes with extra outfits and accessories, but I wish she wasn’t a Mattel member exclusive … that could be why she’s not selling as much imo. I think a lot of us don’t like the idea of paying an extra $10 for her, lol.

This doll is an exclusive to Barbie Signature members ($10 annual fee) and is still available on the website as of May 28th. She reminds me of a prettier version of myself in the early 90s too. OMG Arjen I LOVED the whole lookbook you just created for this beauty!! I really wish she was on Amazon so I could buy her. I can't buy her from the Mattel website because it is such a hassle to get the doll from there: Mattel never gives a tracking number, they never include my telephone number in the address so when the doll arrives, the postal service from my country is so bad that they don't ever bother to call to my phone number or come to deliver the package, so it is all a waste of time and money for me 😭😞. I would really love to buy her but she's exclusive from Mattel's website 🤷🏼♀️.

I show very often my new dolls to my friends and family ... and the reaction to the Barbie Looks Model 1 (Lina) was always not so great , I have even dress her up many times. The only Barbie Looks dolls that got an even lower reaction was Model 12 , 15 and 7.

i got her a couple weeks ago , and i still havent unboxed her yet! which so unlike me. i love everything, her box the design of it, the doll , clothes and accessories, shoes!!! that face sculpt, hair make up , EVERYTHING SHIS THE MOMENT for me :)

I have her and I adore her. I have the wave one Line because my friend found her at a thrift store.. Score! I recently got 3 wave 2 dolls and 2 of the wave 3 dolls (love the Asian Ken). I love these they are gorgeous. #19 is probably my favorite though. My fav look was of course the kimono but the one you stuck with was a close second!

Such a gorgeous makeover! I especially love the Kimono Daydream look. 😍 I really want to get this doll soon - I love her long dark hair, lavender eyes and bold red lips. I also like that she comes with extra outfits and accessories, but I wish she wasn’t a Mattel member exclusive … that could be why she’s not selling as much imo. I think a lot of us don’t like the idea of paying an extra $10 for her, lol.
Yeah, that’s a bummer if you have to pay extra for that membership. I already had the membership so it didn’t cost me extra .. But think that’s a good reason why indeed 🥲

I didn't know this doll was already sold out. I really want to get it. It made me think of the time when I had bangs and straightened my hair. I was wearing a purple eyeshadow, too. I suddenly had a flashback of the picture I took. This doll looks eerily similar to me back then. 😅

She's not sold out. I believe Arjen said the other Looks dolls were sold out on the Mattel Creations website. This doll is an exclusive to Barbie Signature members ($10 annual fee) and is still available on the website as of May 28th. She reminds me of a prettier version of myself in the early 90s too. I am also 5'10" tall, so I like that tall body.
I have two of these dolls and I named them Lisa.

OMG Arjen I LOVED the whole lookbook you just created for this beauty!! I really wish she was on Amazon so I could buy her. I can't buy her from the Mattel website because it is such a hassle to get the doll from there: Mattel never gives a tracking number, they never include my telephone number in the address so when the doll arrives, the postal service from my country is so bad that they don't ever bother to call to my phone number or come to deliver the package, so it is all a waste of time and money for me 😭😞. I would really love to buy her but she's exclusive from Mattel's website 🤷🏼♀️.
