- IT’S FINALLY HERE! The long-awaited Fallout: Brotherhood mod for Fallout 4! Fallout: Brotherhood is an interactive lore mod starring Mass Effect's Mark Meer as Roger Maxson, the legendary founder of the Brotherhood of Steel. Return to the memory den as the Sole Survivor and help the Storyteller uncover what happened at the Mariposa Military Base in the days leading up to the Great War on October 23rd, 2077.

A little disclaimer for everyone in the comments:
1-This is not a new season, its the announcement of a Mod for Fallout 4
2-The channel is pretty much in a vegetative state, Austin is the only one left and he rarely has time to upload.
Things do seem to be looking up for Shoddycast, but for now just be happy we get to see the Story Teller one last time.

The Very Beginning!
I miss that opening. The first season was overall my favorite season because of how well it's presentation was. It's script was classy, and the videos never got stale. Didn't hate the other seasons, make no mistake, but I just think the first season was the best.

It’s good to see the Story Teller one last time, though I wish there could be more. There’s so much lore in Fallout and this channel did a great job of encompassing a lot of it. It’s sad to see the channel pretty much dead.

Hello everyone, should this be the last video posted on this channel I just want you all to know it's been a hell of a ride. This channel turned my affinity for fallout into a full-blown obsession with the lore of not only fallout games, but every medium I find interesting. and should this be it's death all I want to say is thank you, thank you Austin for keeping it going. thank you to my fellow viewers for sharing this experience with me, and thank the mere existence of this channel for playing such a large part in my adolescence. I love this channel, and should this be the end, or the beginning of the end, than I salute it. for it's a rare enough thing that something good ends with dignity.

I’m Elder Maxson, and this is my favorite mod on the Citadel.
Some say that Shoddycast returned to share tales from the rural wasteland of Appalachia, but that is a story for another day.
Let’s just hope our brave data procurement specialist can find any old logs, or anncestors from vault 76 who could tell the tale...but as all of us knows...that story is far from over...but that is a story for another day...

Well if any commentators are reading this, I still keep my hope up because all the dead channel have the possibility to rise up like Sschopkc who been absent for years. I know there is some pessimistic feeling but I will still be waiting. The Lyosacks Movie had taught me how to be patient with uploads and never get hope up too quick.

@GreenTea ive been here since the beginning and he went straight off the rails. He bought out the company, then ran his mouth that he could do it better on Twitter without them and even attacked his longtime fans. He totally drove this channel straight into the ground like a kamakazie dive

I'd like to state, for the record, this channel made a lot of people fans of the lore behind stories. maybe one day it will return. but i have lost a lot of hope in that notion. I remember not long ago seeing a video from TKS mantis featuring Jason as the story teller, and my heart sank realizing this channel was still dark and off the grid. I think we all just need to accept that this was its funeral. A final send off for a piece of internet history. Rest in peace Shoddy cast. 76 isn't meant to be lore-friendly, not even a smidge of effort. As such its expansions aren't going to either.
But to be fair Bethesda Game Studios have for a long time gave little value to lore in all of its games.
Even in Elder Scrolls they put in the concept of Dragonbreaks so that they can change the lore as much as they want in any new title. Further, Fallout isn't their original IP so they would have even less qualms about disregarding lore.
For Elder Scrolls it was the Nordic art of shouts now being all of the sudden tied to dragons, not to mention the whole dragonwar lorepoint which was just pulled out of thin air. And for Fallout it was supermutants being everywhere, the brotherhood existing in places and times where they shouldn't, and even adding Skyrim dragons retextured as giant bats. But seriously how did they get away with the last thing? lol
But yep its best not to be too bothered by lore getting fricked, its only going to get more and more fricked as time goes on. lol

Maybe in the sense of "anything they say that is canon is", but in terms of existing lore no, most definitely not.
Also keep in mind I lump 4 also into the category of messing with the lore not just 76. Lore has been fricked meaning sure this stuff may be canon now but it uncanonized stuff from before due to being incompatible with it. So no even if Bethesda calls it canon now it doesn't make it lore-friendly because lore exists separate from the current opinion of Bethesda. And lore may very easily no longer fit with the current canon of any franchise.
Here are a few videos discussing lore issues. The first one is specifically about the Brotherhood in 76 being an issue. This one is very balanced and fairly discusses why some think this.

Mark Meer voicing Roger Maxson is a GOOD choice. if we ever get official content from Bethesda with voiced content from Roger Maxson, I hope they use Mark Meer as his voice actor
