Places like this that attract cashed up tourists can go either one of two ways, Piggy. One direction, often driven by spiraling rents, is more and more of the same old same old C grade stuff at skyrocketing prices (like Circular Quay in Sydney). The other direction is lots of enterprising locals working hard to part you from your dollars with more and more creative quality products. Personally, I favour the latter and suspect that the Origins Market might be one of the places where a lust for cash and creativity combine to make a symphony of deliciousness.
Looking at the stalls at Origins markets.. I would think it's an effort to help promote the local establishments and startups. I'm not sure about the rental price there but the feel is still very local Australian without much international influence. Good to see that. The only difference I saw was that all the malls are getting bigger and more attractive these days. Westfield. 😄As for Busselton Jetty.. I just read it's run by the city itself. Wow.. 2021 gross revenue of 3.4M www.busselton.wa.gov.au/news/our-jetty-how-is-it-funded/171?c=18
It might be too late if you're already back home, but ou must head to Coventry Markets in Morley, East Victoria Park Restrauant strip and Spenser Village Food Court
Thanks for the tip.. Morley was the biggest mall when I was there in the 90s. Followed by carousell. I stayed near Vic park so the last few scenes was from dinner at Fortune Duck at vic park. Ten Ten seems to have bad review these days. Would love to check out Spencer village again. Used to be the go to place for Asian food 😅. I gotta check out what's Conventry markets. I think I need half a year in Perth 😂
Yeah.. Conventry markets looks huge.. and Spencer village still looks same ol same o 😂.. inside also sama.. closest look to a hawker centre. Singapore food. Malaysia food. 😅
The donuts/cronuts you had look exactly like the ones from Mr Holmes Bakehouse (american chain store at Pacific Plaza & MYP Centre) .... But I feel Aussie cafe culture is so unique by itself.
Waaahh.. goodie...good thing is all.of you share your other places I haven't tried before.. and my favorite in Singapore for donuts is at Dempsey. Burnt Ends Bakery 😋
@@Piggypuggy So that you can try & take video 😅 …. Just kidding. Burnt Ends is on my to try list too, haha! I think should be nicer than Mr Holmes as the bakery arm is an extension of the restaurant
@@wendywong4732 Burnt Ends you gotta be there before opening at 8.. just few fellas in front will set you back alot of waiting time. outside alfresco seatings nice too.. peaceful.... If not for.. Mosquitoes that always prefer my blood
Whenever I'm in Australia... the cafes are where all my money goes. I'm not much of a shopper but these cafes... with their very attractive displays always made me spend more. Must always walk away with some pastries or muesli bars besides what I've eaten there.
Oh yess.. I know what the smell you're talking about.. it's when the sea grass gets washed ashore and starts to rot 😅 but this time round was ok.. maybe it's winter ❄️
Wow! Piggypuggy living large travelling to different continents vlogging 😍
Hahaha.. getting too fat to fit into hawker stalls.. oops.. soon soon.. I need to get into bit of shape to venture hawkers again

@@Piggypuggy Spenser Village hasn't changed in years 😂
But Coventry Village is probably the closest thing we have to a SE Asian Market experience here

0:53 jam jars are for only one thing, not drinks.
Last time I was there, it was super pungent near the shore, but the sights there were nice.

You need to know it cost you A$16 for the train ride. No escapist attitude!
First!

Bro, BBQ seafoods? 🤪
Don't have our BBQ stingray.. probably costs $3-40 too 😅
