  • The Big Mac was created by Jim Delligatti, who stated later he didn't invent the Big Mac but merely copied the double deck hamburger marketed by the Big Boy hamburger chain since the 1940s. Mr. Delligatti operated several McDonald's restaurants in the Pittsburgh area.

Well people finally realize how corporate America screwed them over. That’s why I started my own business and I have over 139 employees under me. I have the lowest turnover ratio in Atlanta, and the biggest reason why is pay and benefits. I pay my employees well and they’re not overworked either, including having unlimited sick leave and 40hrs of vacation time when employees start working on their first day. And my employees deliver the best customer service, because they’re happy. Corporate America used up American workers until now, and yes I grew up during the late 70’s early 80’s myself and I also remember that employees were forced to work long hours with the lowest wages and forced to kiss customers ass so the money continues to roll in for corporate profits. If I shit on my employees, I would be *”Generational”* wealthy but I chose this route because I came from nothing and I remember where I came from

I think that one of the gimmicks about the BigMac is that he added a thick slice of toasted bread inbetween it, which is very cheap to produce and very filling for customers. The sauce is one of it's most valuable attributes, even though it's also produced with as little money as possible. Interesting, that back in the 1970's, most people didn't know that Mad Cow disease is related to alzheimer's. In 2009, NPR reported that scientists discovered a link between Alzheimer's disease and mad cow disease. Both diseases involve a prion protein.

Anyway, I LOVE old McDonald's restaurant. They were much more friendlier and focused on serving the customer and a cozy fun restaurant atmosphere. Fascinating also. The inventor!
