Assassin's Creed III is a 2012 action-adventure video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and Microsoft Windows. Is no one gonna talk about how brutal Desmond is?
That is more the result of laziness on Ubisoft's part actually. They straight up used Connor's animations.

@@umutdurmus8765 it’s not laziness, why create new combat animations for a character we barely play as. It takes a lot of time and effort to make something like that plus Connor has the best fighting animation in the whole franchise.
@@whosdatgamer7 Well, they could have at least added an animation for that second knife in his hand so that it wouldn't appear out of thin air, don't you think? He doesn't pull it out of anywhere, it is just suddely there. I know we barely play as him but I think he deserves at least that considering he was the protagonist of the whole damn franchise at that point.
I think it’s hilarious that abstergo knowing the assassins are highly efficient with close quarters combat didn’t invest in automatic rifles
I don't think abstergo thought an assassin would just waltz their way into a scientific institution and brutally slaughter everyone in their way lol
seeing vidic just demand desmond to give him the apple knowing he can operate it just proves how dumb they are
exactly what i thought, a highly confidential facility, but nobody had guns?
Well the guards do have guns if you look at their belts, and some of the others shoot at Desmond after Vidic gives the order to kill. These guards must be really loyal and obedient to abstergo if they don’t turn to self defense and attempt to kill Desmond with their guns after seeing/knowing this Assassin guy is running around the facility killing every guard in brutal ways, or just using a golden ball to hijack their minds.
And then they quiver in fear as Desmond walks around abstergo with the apple of eden but don’t take any action against it by shooting them before they reach in range of the apple. If only the abstergo guards had any type of automatic gun, or even shotguns, or even an automatic shotgun. I don’t think any assassin will want to get close because if they do they’ll eat about 15 rounds from 3 AA-12s even if they get to pin someone down in a squad of 4.
The guards with the guns are more generous than a saint.

I always hoped they were building up for a modern day assassin's creed game as Desmond. And then they killed him.
Agreed. If ubisoft was to change AC into RPG game, they should do something like WD Legion but with AC theme and endless parkour, that would be awesome.
They did it actually with AC Unity (good multiplayer) but still, expecting a modern timeline one.
Then comes the build-up on Juno's revival only to be killed outside a game.

I love how abstergo still use animus 1.0 while Desmond's crew already got the 3.1 with Rebecca and Shawn's custom development.
The first five games happen within the span of like six months.

@ROG I mean, if studios like rockstar can make a fully fledged game that’s 5x times the size as the original game I believe they can do it. It definitely will be hard but I think its possible
Originally, that was the plan. All the games were supposed to lead to Desmond's training being complete, and we would've gotten an actual Modern Day Assassin's Creed game with Desmond as the protagonist. They changed their mind and decided to kill Desmond off because a lot of players were complaining that the Desmond segments were too boring. And to be honest, they were. The only time I genuinely found the Desmond segments to be interesting was in AC3. Therefore Ubisoft thought that people would find a Modern Day AC game to be boring so they scrapped the idea.
@ROG not that hard. Essentially would have to copy Watch Dogs format but flesh it out to be more realistic. Like no riding on top of drones

That was my favorite part of this mission. The whole game you're doing melee and ranged attacks are this limited but powerful resource. And for this section you can do it as much as you want.
Actually you do reload eventually it just takes a few shots and is very fast

huh, i remember back then when i was playing this stage, it looked so graphically impressive to me, the action of playing as desmond was so immersive!
Now that im looking at the gameplay again, I cant get the same feeling watching it, the graphics are so outdated haha, i wonder what it would have looked like if it was remastered

Yep Ubisoft just smashes like 2 more shadows that were originally bugged on the original game, put it on PS4 and Xbox one and say it's remastered

I love this sequence but i think it’s a shame how they just kill off Daniels Cross like this. His lore building up to this in the comics and multiplayer cutscenes etc. was so cool and then he just shows up randomly and gets killed

I like it that Desmond is using Connor's combat tactics, he doesn't have a detachable hidden blade so he uses a knife instead
Ac 3 showcases the desmond's true potential in combat, skills, and knowledge.
Personnaly, the story with Desmond and ezio is my favorite so yes it couldn't be the same main character for each AC but it stays the best for me and I would like a movie with them

I'm sure realistically it was probably just because the systems were already there, but I always liked how Desmond took after Connors fighting style in the end. It's not exactly the same, Connor had two hidden blades that could flip and detach, Desmond had one hidden blade that couldn't detach and a knife, but the combat was very similar and was always so cool.

I think when Desmond is out of the animus fighting and the alert on top of the enemies head that signals there are about to attack are part of the bleeding effect and it gives him the instinct to see it like he was in a animus cuz I know it’s supposed to be realistic out of the animus and that only happens inside it
That didn't happen in the original though, only when far away enemies saw you it would appear for like 2 seconds until they come close
i love how the npcs are just like this is normal life for them still conversing while guards are getting killed.

After Valhalla ending i'm kinda hoping for an eventual return of him, but at least to me his character has been kept alive in fanfics
Same, I kinda hope he actually comes back in the flesh, I doubt it but still. I also like the idea of bringing back modern day missions like this one but have a choice like syndicate and you could choose to play as Desmond or Layla. Desmond could be more stealth based and Layla could be more combat based (because kassandra/eivor). That won't happen, I can dream.
Who replays this mission just to feel all powerful with the apple of eden.
If only we had a modern day assassin's creed and desmond as the main character / assassin
He is still alive that is if he finds what knowledge he is looking for then retakes a body and comes to life

There's something that feels backwards about an already skilled assassin/hidden one using the bleeding effect to learn normal combat.
The best ending for the franchise
They never manage to make the current portion of AC's plot lines interesting again after Desmond.
They're kinda trying to make the plot outside the Animus relevant again but I already play AC Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla and don't remember the name of that black haired woman who uses the animus.
Fun fact: Connor was supposed to be able to scalp enemies. What if Desmond accidentally scalped one of the guards because of the bleeding affect
