I think one thing that may apply with some hidden blades is the knowledge the "Great" Altair might have gained from the Apple, it may have given him a knowledge from the Isu, or from future man made craftsmanship, the gun or the hand cannon, which truly wasn't created until around the time of Ezio (based on game lore, not historical)
Only the modern hidden blade is missing, although some assassins still use blades Shawn showed us that the hidden blade can become a lethal tazer because nowadays a blade is more an inconvenience in a world with guns and bulletproof vests
Not only that but if you got caught by the police carrying a concealed blade on the Underside of your arm nowadays you would be in trouble with the law but if you simply got caught carrying a concealed taser they probably wouldn't give a shit so long as they didn't know it could kill a person with one taste
The Origins hidden blade scene was my favorite. Bayek was never trained with something like this and almost took his hand off. A realistic touch because people need training to use tools properly.
Is there a blade on the hook? I always though Ezio used the eagle beak part of the hook for assassinations. Does it also have a blade compartment as well?
It's funny how the original and first blade is worn over the wrist, and then mistakenly worn under the wrist which caused a whole group of assassins to lose their finger. Only to be called out by a Norwegian Raider.
even funnier is the fact that after a certain point in the Assassin history they stopped cutting off their fingers cuz it became very obvious that the ppl with 9 fingers were Assassins 😂 a mistake which was turned into a commitment which ended up being the easiest way to expose them

Eivor: the what blade?
I still love how other than ezio Arno was the only one taken in truly by the brother hood, ps Connor doesn’t count to me because it was only him and Achilles
I started with AC2 then went to Brotherhood. Didnt play again til black flag came out. Then Unity (slept on nowadays). Xbox Games w/Gold finally let me play the OG & rogue. Still have to play 3, Syndicate to present & any DLCs with all the games
4:23 " This is no mistake "
I'm pretty sure it was a mistake lol
They forgot the hidden taser from Syndicate IRL
Watch at 14:45 when Evie Frye said I'll take that hook upgrade from Jake's hand that got me laughing
I was expecting someone to say "hey there Delilah" in the intro
I miss the double assassination, the phantom blade and the grappling hook option. I just wish they would’ve introduced the grappling hook option. Much better in the beginning.
To be fair to the viking almost no one would look at that golden bracers and think it is a blade
I love all assassins creed games. I have played them all, nearly every single one of them to 100% (AC3 still gives me hadaches :D) and i have to say, im a huge fan of the AC3 hidden blade! really close after that AC2 and then the Phantom blade :3
I like how some of these guys lose the lose their finger while Edward just swing two around
His grandson takes his side too
Honestly, a phantom and pivot blade dual wielding set would be awesome.
Don’t forget the detachable blade from bloodstone and the taser blade Shaun uses
Unity was on another level
Beforr origin is out, if i recall correctly Altair is the only assassin to use a hidden blade. You can even see every assassin's wrist on ac 1 and revelations, only Altair has the blade
People complain about odyssey not having a hidden blade but it is historically correct because the brotherhood was not founded yet
“Do not fetishize a piece of metal”
Nice video bro 🤘
Still pisses me off why there was not a game about darius creating the most iconic weapon in AC history... thats why i left the series only watching from youtubers not playing it myself
Because you know already from Sanctuary, that he was a legendary icon...
@@MrSpawn229 amunet was known since ac2
We have origins
@@s.bs.b5834 but not bayek .. he was just add in time without any explaination.. in my eyes hes just a filler character just like kassandra and all of the unknown characters we played so far
@@KamusariHR for bayek you are right
Original plan was him to die and aya being the mc but a ubisoft head said " only alpha man will make is money" so he force the game to change and bayek to stay
@@s.bs.b5834 and that's why I can't accept him as brotherhood leader and first assassins. the onlyone assassin was Adam and even and the person stays in the shadow being and assassins was Darius
Bros outro is more louder than my phone
Ngl kassandra hidden blade and ezio (AC2) looks pretty
almost all ac games: stabs the enemy calmly and dies
Ac odyssey: impales the enemy from behind and snaps their neck and grabs the blade from the front
Now the stealth returns in AC Mirage.
Ezio's blade was the best
It’s funny how Eivor is the only one to “correctly” wear the hidden blade without knowing it’s true origin.
If I were to choose a hidden blade I would have to choose Ezio’s in revelations, it has a gun, hook for climbing, poison and you don’t have to cut off your finger to use it
I'm surprised despite being the most "out of place" assassins, Edward didn't lose his fingers
Nice
I miss the damn hookblade. It was so vicious
Bro was incensed Eivor would get the blade and not need to cut his finger
Back when the hook blade used to climb higher things, but now we can climb everything
Am I the only person who misses the cut off ring finger idea
Eu queria vê como foi criada a lamina, pois todos falam que o designe dela é impressionante ent como Darius conseguiu criar algo assim
Pov:When the old hidden blades has better assassinate kills then the new ones
All those upgrades to the blades over the years and what did Desmond storm Abstergo with? A simple hidden blade and a knife... like a putz. Historical Assassins: Amazing Gear, Modern Assassin: Piss Poor Minimum.
Technology advanced enough for the blades not too be needed
That's all he needed
the "upgraded" one from ACR isnt the blade, altair really just made a fucking gun lol
NOOOOOOOO WHY DID U REMOVE THE MUSIC?????? The one in AC3 is the most emotional one, especially with the music!!! In AC3 the hidden blades were so epic!!!
plot twist: Altaïr modified the hidden blade so that you could still flip people off
What about Shao Jun Hidden Blade in boot?
The part from Odyssey is actually set in 466 BCE not 431 AC, AC isn't even a real abbreviation when it comes to dates
Not because you're atheist and hate your religious mother doesn't mean everyone should stop using AC
at that time Assassin are known as mercenaries, there is not brotherhood established at that time of odyssey
AC means "Antes de Cristo" or "Before Christ" in Spanish.
I wanna know how the hidden blade works. Like how does it come out?
Pressure trigger, most likely has a switch that the back of the palm hits to release and when not pressed in the switch brings the blade back, or its a pulley system with a ring on the finger when pulled the blade comes out and the string is less tightened the blade returns
Explanations are vague till this very day. it ain't that far off from your regular switchblade, just that the 'button' is placed somewhere along your forearm muscle, triggering it using a very specific manner, instead of being pushed with a finger.

Oh god my ears!
mantul
jesus christ the outro was too loud lmao
The ac hidden gun blade was GOAT
only just realised bayek put the blade on backwards, but i guess thats why thye are all backwards now. any by backwards i mean under the arm not over
I Find this hilarious Bayek cut his finger off because he wore it wrong 🤣😭😭 literally durius wore it the same way avor does
yeah the hidden blade really did evolve backwards
Explain how the grappling hooks anchor is the assassin symbol when it was taken from a Templar
3:46 purist AC fans vs normal AC fans
For some reason you can’t see Darius hidden blade until he kills xerxes
7:17 Poor Ezio xD
