Been coming back to this like once a month for the last 7 years, for Glen’s lil lighthouse message, as much as the songs.

One of the Glen's most beautiful and haunting songs. You can feel the sadness and pain emanating from the music and lyrics. This is what they mean when they say "music comes from the heart and returns to the heart..."

his thougths on grief and loss Starting at 6:30 are absolutely profound, Glenn is very well versed in Buddism and Self growth. He is the real thing and thinks and speaks with elequnce if you have had a chance to hear him on podcast talking about his life. I appreciate his human presence

The guy has always shown us his mind through his music. Success in making music and despair in loss. Life and marriage. As I try desperately to keep my marriage together I have been playing and working on learning to play a song that he wrote in an evening......
    What's the chord sequence again?
God I love this woman. She's so incredible. We've buried so many together. Our babies need us to keep it together.

Well crafted songs; very inviting and make you want to hear more. I saw you in Cave Creek and wanted to say nicely done, but was with others and didn't. Been listening since Coyote Sessions. Greer Zoller still makes me smile. Interesting good work; not many songwriters doing that these days.

“Pretty much all I ever do; listen to podcasts and try to sleep”. A profound statement for our times. If it helps, I’ve found reading a book with a bedside light much is better than podcasts or e-readers for sleep.

It should be noted, Jonathan is NOT a member of Toad. he just backs them up live sometimes on auxiliary instruments. prior to him it was Johnny Hawthorn and most notably Bruce Winter.

I have no idea, as I was too busy looking at Glen.
He is a very good friend of Glen's - Jonathan Kingham. I think he is trying to be subdued here, so Glen can hear himself sing.
If you watch Toad The Wet Sprocket at Kaaboo 2017, you will see Jonathan's best work on lap steel guitar. It is on TTWS's facebook page in the video section.

Jonathan is brilliant in adding just enough to make the song better without taking it over. There is beauty in the simplicity.

PAKY KENNELS accompaniment and accents... Trust me, it rounds out the sound.

Agree - Jonathan is brilliant in adding just the right amount. The simplicity is beauty in and of itself.

im pretty sure he's thinking "wait i thought we were doing toad songs, ive never even heard your solo ..... i mean ... sure i know that one"

    • @Pandemonium...
      @Pandemonium... 2 года назад

@@thevanburenagency6664 Jonathan Kingham has accompanied Glen on his solo shows on numerous occasions (so he’s well versed with the material). He either had a temporary
lapse in memory or is just playing in an understated way. On a different note,
imagine backing up Glen and start singing back-up so loud,
Glen can’t hear himself think or sing and play 😂🤣🤣. Glen would be 😠😡🤬 😆
