Yes! Me too! And he is underrated but i think he is gonna be recognized to a new generation again. He is a true artist and songwriter, its in his soul.
Me too. I've been listening since I was about 9 years old. I fell in love with his voice. Toad's music helped me through my depressing teen years and kept me from killing myself. I know this must sound silly but for me -Glen Phillips' music gave me reason to live. And I once had the opportunity to thank him for his music at a concert, and I did that.
@@samuelwalkingstick2949 Back in '11 o I took my father and BFF to a toad concert and when the show was over the band came down and met the audience. Signing autographs and such. I got to meet them and shake their hands and say something quick to them. I told Glen that I loved his music more than anything else and expressed that he was my favorite singer/songwriter. I said that it was a great honor to meet him. It was a moment that almost made me lose control. I was so happy to see them and meet them and I could barely contain my emotions. I felt and heard my voice cracking and when I stepped away to let the next person in line step up I had tears in my eyes. It might sound silly to be overwhelmed meeting your favorite artist but I was. He'll never remember me, but I will remember that moment to my last day.
I listened to this so much in the 90's. God bless my best friend for having this album and letting me borrow it. This was my theme song w/ my high school sweetheart. We loved each other but something was always wrong. Ah the memories.... Nostalgia is a powerful thing.
My story with this song was that when I was just finishing My high school degree I could not to graduated with My friends and school partners, so when I listened this Masterpiece I understood Life is a long path to live! Thanks TTWS and Gleen for your música! 🙏🌄
Glen is a fantastic musician and performer. I've seen TTWS 3 times and saw Glen during one of his solo gigs in Memphis about 5 years ago. They were all top-notch shows!
Anyone else watch that Pinky And The Brain show? Not the Animaniacs but the spin off. Well, in one episode our intrepid heroes had the idea to move to Seattle and start a grunge band. Take the money from that and open a chain of coffee shops and through those they would thus take over the world. Solid plan, right? Well, they got some old denim and flannel shirts and formed a band. They called that band "Frog The Dry Widget" and it's the best joke to ever appear in anything ever.
@@globalnova worst shoes made. I hate seeing a good looking girl and then looking down and she has that style of shoe. 🤦♂️ thanks lady...you just blew my high and your chance at this epic awesomeness.
same - Glenn can absolutely hit the notes still, really bugs me when artists drop the keys for songs instead of finding new ways to sing in the original key
@@ia5662 sad thing is when u find out it was actually written lower & some brilliant producer knew to try it in a more uplifting key. and he was right lol..thats the version we all fall in love with. but yes as as cover player, leave the key! lol.
I ALWAYS TRY to listen to a whole song before judging. I am glad I did. I would be proud to JAM or Listen to you! You are natural and not forced like too much MODERN music!!!\ I did ERR and Hu-Mon on this video. I ASSUMED an acoustic version would not be good. I was wrong. Somehow you kept the ASS the original song had. So many songs are RE-done and WATERED down because of lack of talent, MONEY, I DON'T CARE ATTITUDES and AUTOTUNE or just POLITICALLY CORRECTNESS! I would rather listen to Mozart or Bach jam, I think they played their version of ROCK, than 95% of the MODERN GARBAGE! Excellent copy! KEEP ON JAMMING PLUS you were having fun! If you can't jam and invoke an emotion besides distaste in music, you ain't a musician!
I hate that I can play all of these songs perfectly on guitar but I can’t sing for shit. 😂 It would be cool to be a one man band and not be reliant on someone else to sing.
This song epitomizes everything that was right about the 90s
And actually this song and this precise version of it. 🥹🥹🥹
I'm humbled to provide a simple thumbs up...thank you 'Toad the Wet Sprocket'!!!!
Whether with the full band or without, Glen is just phenomenal. Love Toad and all their music.
This guys voice never changes... Better in concert than on the EP...Unreal...
This guy is a breath of fresh air. I love him. I've listened to his stuff since I was a kid.

@@glenngriffon8032 Toad and Glen offer me hope. I hope it continues to do the same for you. Their music always makes me hopeful.
Fuck, I miss the 90's.
one of the best things about seeing Glen live is helping sing background vocals!

Such a down-to-earth experience from TWS doing my favorite song.
Glen is so unbelievably talented. . Singing, guitar, song writing ✓✓✓
Fear is my favorite Toad album, but this is my favorite Toad song!

Brilliant!!
Very nice 👏👏👏
Que gran canción ..
Me encantaría tocar así la guitarra y ese tema ...
Very nice.
lol @ the falsetto "that's professional entertainment" at the end
I know. That made me laugh!
TOAD was #1 most underrated band 90s
What a peaceful easy vibe
I wonder what this would sound like on a violin ?🎻 🤔
You should work it up, I bet it would sound great 🌞
What does he say at 4 : 30 ?
very cool!
moving to NC would be a dream of mine to play, work, or jam with you!
That look on Glen's face when the other guy goes of to tune his guitar. You could tell he's calling him a newb.
Is that Sean Watkins?
Yep
Nice so cool and great music
Why did he start using a capo on the song? It takes away from the original haunting melody.

I've never seen him wear shoes on stage before. Awesome song though!
he shoulda stuck to bare feet, those "shoes" are fugly

Saw Toad & Gin Bloosoms 94

What chord progression is he using? Can't find an accurate tab to save my life!!
Damn..Dean gained some weight
I think that’s Sean Watkins from Nickel Creek who’s playing with Glen, not Dean.
👏👏👏
