For those who love TWS and talk about your memories of the 90s, these guys still tour regularly. I encourage you to find some small music venue where they are playing near you and go. They remain a wonderful show. Just saw them a couple of months ago with my girlfriend who had never seen them before, and she was blown away. There is an aspect of songwriting that almost never gets a mention, except among professionals talking professionally, and the is the arrangement of the song. Some tunes just flow, even across tempo and key changes, and others just clunk along.
This song is an example of the finest kind of arranging, one that lets the song breathe and move around without ever losing the flow.

While being just a bit younger than you (58) I completely understand and agree 100%. Mid 60's to the mid 70's was the best. We were witness to the music "Revolution". And you could FEEL how special a time it was. It was all so fresh and creative and it was available to us at the flip of the switch on our radio's and in great abundance. We didn't have to "Seek" it out. Then came the 80's......oh my. Disco.....ugh and big hair bands. Everything sounded the same. The 90's brought back creativity and it was "Oh SO welcome". While there are always good bands out there, it will never be the same. And we now see the adults who grew up during the 90's saying the same thing. They are now seeing what we saw back in the day as they experienced the unique creative music our generation were privy to and the great appreciation for such. Apologies for the lengthy reply. I have no self edit button :-)

@@californiaswater5571 nah, not to much. Much worse things are afoot these days. Nothing like a friggin Pandemic to make a person miss the simplicity of the 90s. Yesterday, 57 people died in my state from Covid. The infection rates are skyrocketing while medical professionals everywhere are begging Americans to take this shit seriously. My wife's a pastor, and on Saturday she's doing her third funeral since October 15. This upcoming one's for a 26yo nurse who'd been in the ICU, on a ventilator for 37 days! Young people ARE dying too. There's no rhyme or reason for why some of these young folks get affected worse than others. I'm an emt-paramedic on furlough because I've got diabetes and and I'm recovering from treatment for malignant melanoma which may have zapped my immune system.
A friend of mine from high school died last month from a sudden Covid related blood clot. The day before she died she ran over 20 miles on her lunch break. She was a competitive runner and rock climber who was in the best shape of anyone I ever knew. She was second in her graduating class at MIT, and was a stellar photographer! She was so kind and caring about other people. She was careful about Covid and always wore a mask. Doesn't help much if people around her weren't wearing theirs however.
I hope a vaccine comes out soon. I'd like to be able to work again.
I don't know why I'm saying all this to the ether. Hadn't heard this band in awhile and wanted to think back to simpler times of dating and partying and running around without worrying so much. The govt back then sure was corrupt, but it was a much simpler corruption. People embezzled millions, not BILLIONS. Who knows, maybe we'll have universal healthcare, and solve the climate crisis by this time next year! Maybe there'll be a cure for cancer developed too. One that doesn't make you wretch you guts out for days on end. Def not the best way to lose weight, but I'll take it. I'I'd take a lot of things over the current situation! Oh well...

I feel you on that. My love is one of the best anyone can ever hope for or need, yet seems I couldn't give it away to this one particular person for over a decade despite relentlessly trying, on and off, over and over again. They simply did not want my love, and I thought something was wrong with me all those years, when there absolutely wasn't. They had the problem, and I now know it's because my love was too good for them, and they knew they weren't deserving of it. I took it as rejection at the time, when really it was their own guilt of accepting something they knew they didn't deserve. They never reciprocated it, and never appreciated my awesomeness. What was wrong with me, for allowing and accepting that rejection for so long??? Live and learn, I suppose. So, yeah I know exactly what you mean.
