So in Thailand people always speak first pasa baan (local language or language of the house) and then of course they learn the national language Thai, which is taught at school and the language they speak when they go away to work in the cities, study, etc. As you experienced yourself, Thailand is culturally diverse.

    Guten abend Herr Ken,
Thank you for doing the stunningly beautiful video of Pu Che Fah!
(Pu = Peak, Che = to point, Fah = the sky)! And you can see why!
The clay pot coffee roasting method is new to me as well! Pretty interesting that you had to work hard for your own cup of coffee! Would've been nice if he'd shown you the actual clay pot though.
The view of the peak is absolutely gorgeous! You're right again, the video doesn't really do justice! One must be there to see it in person! Danke schoen!
By the way, monolith is the word in English to describe a stone monument!

Ken mate. Not sure if you ever watch any of the Vlogs of fellow Vlogger there in northern Thailand Paddy Doyle. He recently visited a village of a hilltribe somewhere close to a place called Pai and had an uncomfortable experience even though he and his guide wore a mask. Because they are so far removed from outside civilisation they were comfortable in their own existence from the threat of Covid-19 so when a farang turned up out of nowhere their reaction was not positive. I thought I'd mention that just so you were aware of it and didn't experience something similar :)

The sign says "danger" indicating there might be some landmines and booby traps that remained undetected. So never go out of the marked path if you walk near the border lines. If this happens to be the Thai-Cambodian border. Then it will be totally different as every step you walk out of the marked path could mean death from hundreds of unexploded landmines still buried underground and undetonated.
