Here goes. In 2016, he opposed legislation in canada on the grounds that it violated free speech, he stood up for his values even though it put his career at risk. He debated people who were slandering him, threatening him, and attempting to cancel him, yet he never once retaliated. He has talked at length with multiple feminists in public interveiws - ususally it goes something like the above, where they attempt to frame him for something he didn't say then gaslight him for it. A common tactic among extremist activists. Every single time, he replies very carefully and respectfully. He has made a stand against transgender extremism causing a huge surge in gender dysphoria among children - explaining why the social contagien is so dangerous. He faced lawsuits, death threats, and constant violent protests to his lectures, seminars, and public showings, but he has remained nothing but polite and compassionate to the very people who have threatened his life and career. There's more, I could go on, but hopefully you get the idea. The man is compassionate, knowledgeable, and courageous.

The issue with this interview is that she was totally unprepared. The other issue is that most people watching this seem to have no concept of how these kind of interviews are led. The interviewers job is to present the opposing viewpoit effectively in order to test the thoughts/opinions/statements of the intervewee. If it's done correctly, it is a very effective means of extracting meanintiful and insightful information in a short amount of time. Newman can do this very well, but in this case she was poorly informed and poorly prepared (and may have been having a bad day to). To then claim she^s a moron or to use this interview to make assumptions about her own political and ideological views is ignorant itself.

Sometimes people need to talk as if they are talking to a toddler. Specially when they see the other person is miss understanding almost everything they are saying. It was more than this interview. There's about 3-5 I would say that launched him. But he was already a big name in Canada. And that radical bill he was protesting was the catalyst for these interviews.

The level of patience Dr. Peterson had to embody to survive 15 minutes with this woman is enviable to say the least. If I had to repeat facts that much in the first minutes of an interview I'd have lost it.

Well, she is not an actual intellect like a professor, but just a media personality. This is not her area of expertise so the set up is a bit too easy for the professor. She has just prepared a series of questions that the professor has stock answers that are difficult to argue with. This is just entertainment. New political or scientifical discoveries can not be found in a brain storming session of 20 min with only one expert. You would need 2h of intense depate developing each others thinking by 3-5 experts that also somewhat agree on the basics like that comparing pay gap between two genders is like comparing pay gap between two professions since men and women have and voluntarily pursuit different life paths on average.
Reminds me of that interview of Jordan Peterson with the British Journalist Cathy Newman. Not a fan of Trump but I am also not a fan of journalists who start an interview right off the bat with prejudice. A fair journalist never lets their personal judgement come in the way. Throw the right questions tactfully and let the true colours of the interviewee come out naturally during the interview. Now that's a real skill!
And that is not a good quality in trump, even though I like him. Rather than verbally lay out the specific reason his opponent is wrong he throws out an insult, and instantly loses the argument even when the facts are probably on his side. His gut feeling is usually mostly correct but he can't verbalize it. Insults don't win debates, thoughtful use of language does. Conversely watch peterson win without any insults

@@matteovercelli344 if you havent heard much about him, I'll roughly paraphrase what he's been through - disclaimer, this is an extremely short and incomplete summary, and I could not possibly hope to explain how amazingly patient and kind this man is in a single youtube comment.
Here goes.
In 2016, he opposed legislation in canada on the grounds that it violated free speech, he stood up for his values even though it put his career at risk. He debated people who were slandering him, threatening him, and attempting to cancel him, yet he never once retaliated.
He has talked at length with multiple feminists in public interveiws - ususally it goes something like the above, where they attempt to frame him for something he didn't say then gaslight him for it. A common tactic among extremist activists. Every single time, he replies very carefully and respectfully.
He has made a stand against transgender extremism causing a huge surge in gender dysphoria among children - explaining why the social contagien is so dangerous. He faced lawsuits, death threats, and constant violent protests to his lectures, seminars, and public showings, but he has remained nothing but polite and compassionate to the very people who have threatened his life and career.
There's more, I could go on, but hopefully you get the idea. The man is compassionate, knowledgeable, and courageous.

The issue with this interview is that she was totally unprepared. The other issue is that most people watching this seem to have no concept of how these kind of interviews are led. The interviewers job is to present the opposing viewpoit effectively in order to test the thoughts/opinions/statements of the intervewee. If it's done correctly, it is a very effective means of extracting meanintiful and insightful information in a short amount of time. Newman can do this very well, but in this case she was poorly informed and poorly prepared (and may have been having a bad day to). To then claim she^s a moron or to use this interview to make assumptions about her own political and ideological views is ignorant itself.

It’s because they only hear it. They don’t listen to what is actually being said. It doesn’t fit their narrative, so they’re not even interested in understand what he’s actually saying.

Well, she is not an actual intellect like a professor, but just a media personality. This is not her area of expertise so the set up is a bit too easy for the professor. She has just prepared a series of questions that the professor has stock answers that are difficult to argue with. This is just entertainment. New political or scientifical discoveries can not be found in a brain storming session of 20 min with only one expert. You would need 2h of intense depate developing each others thinking by 3-5 experts that also somewhat agree on the basics like that comparing pay gap between two genders is like comparing pay gap between two professions since men and women have and voluntarily pursuit different life paths on average.

Reminds me of that interview of Jordan Peterson with the British Journalist Cathy Newman. Not a fan of Trump but I am also not a fan of journalists who start an interview right off the bat with prejudice. A fair journalist never lets their personal judgement come in the way. Throw the right questions tactfully and let the true colours of the interviewee come out naturally during the interview. Now that's a real skill!

And that is not a good quality in trump, even though I like him. Rather than verbally lay out the specific reason his opponent is wrong he throws out an insult, and instantly loses the argument even when the facts are probably on his side. His gut feeling is usually mostly correct but he can't verbalize it. Insults don't win debates, thoughtful use of language does. Conversely watch peterson win without any insults
