I'm a BYU fan and happy for their success this year, but I have been so impressed with other teams and coaches in the Big 12. I believe I feel like most BYU fans and must express how grateful we are to be in the Big 12 with so many outstanding coaches and wonderful human beings who love competition, but understand that there are other things in life that are far more important than just winning. Coaches like this really care about their athletes and they build up people with important attributes that will serve them well throughout their entire lives. OSU is a great university and I wish them well!!
I'm Kenyan, and my best race in the NCAA was at nationals on a cold, rainy, muddy, and hilly course, as bad as it gets. Some Kenyans may not run as well in the cold but certainly not all
@@rockrun3732 He has a lot of foreign runners on the team. People think he's not actually that good at coaching and he just recruited his way. Those people seem to forget the 3 titles he won with OK state from 2009-2012. But on the other hand I'm sure the foreign guys didn't hurt the team. I'm not sure any other top team has as many foreign guys as them, maybe Arkansas or Iowa State.

Super cool coach. I thought his comments were much better than Shalane's. Both were disappointed at 2k but he is taking responsibility.
Honest comments by a great coach. OSU has a great program, but simply didn't have their best day. That's running, but they'll be back!
