It should be set up for 100% dozer control, right joystick does all blade controls, roller wheel does blade angle, left/right does tilt, up/down does blade lift with an option to use loader or tilt for up down. Holding and clicking buttons for 3rd functions is not easy when on the fly.
Yeah exactly, always fluff. Hardly ever seen on a job site. Check out the Scraper Bucket website. That's what you're talking about. A hard clay cutting machine!
try to get my point across !!!! CAT is making a huge mistake getting rid of the 257 track machine your going to loose a lot of sales to ASV for that !!!! main reason is the track system !!! CAT should have a option to purchase it with that track system since they are going away with that track i am seriously looking at the NEW ASV for that reason
ASV who? It's been two years since this comment and ASV is even less of a player than it was. Outside of their small machine and their big brushcutting machine you hardly see them anywhere and their dealers are little mom and pop locations that struggle to even get a service truck out to see someone or they barely stock parts.
Why why is your standard single joystick rubbish ? I can see the machine switching all the time. On most videos anywhere !! Its a wate of time for anything precise!!
I know that. But they should put a real operator in there who actually can run the skid steer and attachment . If I was to judge by this video how this machine and attachment performed by this video I wouldn’t buy the product
The blade is definitely harder to get used to than a real dozer or just having a bucket. And if you’re looking to do fine grading this is why they make a grader blade. I have both the dozer blade and grader blade and both have its uses. Although I don’t think I would do any major cuts with any skid steer attachments. I would say a skid steer is good for spreading material only. The smart dozer blade does grade nicely once you get use to it. I like using the arms to lift the blade. Smoother control.

I totally agree.
Agree
It is 100% dozer control. What buttons do you have to hold for a 3rd function? I have this blade and it doesn’t require holding any buttons.
Todo el que sea Operador de Retro-excavadora deje un like
I would like to see this work on clay ground, not a loose pile of gravel.

Can you push hard ground with these
Now that you've shown us how to do a Washboard, can you shows how to make it flat?
😂😂😂😂
Back drag

Would this blade with all of its functions work on a 289c since there is no LCD display or would it be run different?
Your Cat dealer can help, Vitiello! To find a dealer near you visit bit.ly/2KLZ6oQ - Adrian
You need the latest D3 model of a 279, 289, or 299 compact track loader to run the smart dozer blade.
@@farmonthehill7390 thanks funny cat couldn’t answer a simple question 😂
Always a run around
I don't have the shovel on my screen
So how do I get the side to side working
If it’s a smart attachment that plugs in with a wire you should have the shovel. Also make sure you have an IMU installed on your machine.

I can do to much faster with the regular bucket
not very level........... just saying
This is not a good description. Especially your operator is terrible. You can tell how uneven he leaves the material
I don't think he's an operator actually. All these manufacturers have a tendency to put a design engineer in the seat for demonstrations.
