A woman can't be equal to a man. Never. Impossible. She can be an asset but once a woman has a child he has to support the woman for atleast 3 years. So a man is defined by his intelligence and his ability to provide, but if the women does not invest in him early and allow him to succeed she has nothing.

Yeah...Akan is matriarchal in inheritance, but it doesn't mean women are in charge. There is big difference. The AKan belief in women godness, life start with a woman ...at the end the man is still in charge. It is the man that leads and woman support.
It depends on the tribe and the culture. In my culture (Bassa'a from Cameroon), it's a balance. But men are still in charge. I don't know any culture in Africa where women are in charge. Maybe the Pygmies because women are very indépendant there. But I'm not sure.

Akon, you still need a woman's egg to create life whether in an incubator or not. So, in some way you need a woman. Your right roles do need to be defined. BUT, men need to be men and provide for the house. They support each other in one way or another. It's still a team effort. Women had to step up because the men was not. It's not because we are choosing to. Ya'll let our households down. I wish we still had the mentality of it takes a village to raise a child. I totally agree with that.

Do you know what tribe a black American most likely came from if they are west African? Actually, the only offspring created without one of the sex gametes are clones like Dolly the sheep. So if he wants to get technical, men are not essential to create life. Dolly was created with the ova casing of one donor ewe, injected with the entire genome of a single mammary cell of another donor ewe. This was implanted into a surrogate ewe and carried to term. This process took 3 female sheep and no males. Indeed, I suppose they could have used the genome of a ram, however, the ova casing and uterus of a surrogate would still be needed to grow the offspring. So in either situation females are essential, but life can indeed be created without any contribution from a male...you know...since he wanted to give them an "example of the science of it"...

Keep in mind Akon lives a polygamous lifestyle, most women will not agree with. Lastly, he himself will not be okay if one of his ladies was shacking up with some other dude. Hence no one is okay with the 2nd class role.
