Love seeing john. Thank you to Bob for asking john to come and accept that award for him so we all could catch a rare appearance from the all mighty and wonderful JOHN SYKES.. Love ya John, been a long time fan . still waiting for new music. you are to talented to stay underground.. 💜💙🎵🎸
So sad.....I saw Thin Lizzy in 1983 at Masten's party venue Kristianopel Sweden. It was the tour Thunder & Lightning. John Sykes joined and played with Phil Lynott, Brian Downey, Darren Wharton. A very good gig with Sykes on guitar. Melodic and seductive feeling on his black Les Paul. I had the privilege of talking to them after the gig. Sympathetic lovely group with a slightly drunk Lynott who still found the right tunes in his significant way! A memory for life! Superb! RIP John Sykes
Over 30 years later and fanboys still criticize Coverdale. No one either has the balls to admit the truth, or maybe they don't know the facts, about Sykes trying to hijack Whitesnake while Coverdale was dealing with his health. Jealousy is a laugh as an excuse. I'd call it a loss of trust in your business partner.
@@guillermo3564Sykes had nothing to do with the takeover attempt. Why did Coverdale fire the entire band when he could’ve just fired Sykes? Long live Sykes. More talented by far.
" in the summer we were crazy we fooled around all the time how I loved that girl....she was mine But how she left me for another guy and it really brought me down"
Congrats mate, John man u might not remember me but ur approach to music has been a really big influence on my life, I wish I could of had the chance to rock out beside u mate. I got hooked on to drugs and alcohol and kinda lost my talent on the guitar, I was gonna become Jimi Hendrix cause I'm destined to believe that's my biological father, I grew up learning how to do do shit on my own, but keep using music as a tool mate and keep moving inwards n when times get tough take a deep breath through these changes n then one day be grateful to be dead
John Sykes, the man. My second favourite guitar player, with #1 being Mr Eddie "The King" Van Halen. God... how well preserved is mr. Sykes... the guy looks like he's on his 30's.

JOHN SYKES ,BOB DAISLEY. Both robbed blind and both legends.
The word great is overused.Bob Daisley has written & played on some great, great songs. With some amazing musicians & singers. He's also worked with Ozzy too.....
From what I understand, he's completely locked down in a contractual deal. Won't play/record actually means can't. We're all simple folk who love life and music is a huge part of our spirituality. Corporations control the music industry because they want access to, and control of, that spirituality. Well I suggest we fight to get it back. Without it, we are done. Check out the lyrics in Johns' last single "Dawn of a New Day". The man knows what's going on. Do you?
Rhoads was not the talent he was until he was writing with someone capable of bringing it out of him, not to mention the rest of the Ozzy catalog Bob wrote and the fact that Ozzy really has not done shite since Bob has NOT been writing for him= Sharon is not as smart as you think. I would have loved to hear what these 2 could have written ?
No offence to Simon McBride - just checked him out and he's brilliant - but I've often pictured John Sykes in Deep Purple. But a band with John and Bob Daisley would be fantastic. (It's a shame the great Steve Morse has had to step down from Purple to look after his wife. He's fantastic, and a modest man. Hope Mrs Morse gets well soon.)
We just lost him today. Rest easy John!!
😢 R.I.P. JOHN SYKES a wonderful, extraordinary guitarist.
Sad, sad...young and talented. Killer tone, vibrato.....thanks for the Music...... R.I.P.
John Sykes.One of England's finest.Make no mistake.

He hasn't lost that British accent 💞
Agreed
If you grew up to be an adult with it, you don't ever really lose it. It's how accents work. I'm glad he hasn't. It's part of his charm. ❤️🌹
