  • Blue Angels high show over NASJRB New Orleans. After the Vertical Break boss had an issue with his jet, Boss and Trash landed and Boss took Trashes jet While Trash took a spare and then picked up the show where they left off. Sorry for the quality of this video, on top of the lighting and not being able to see my screen I had a terrible migraine throughout the day. Please comment and subscribe.

Thanks for the great coverage! Lots of jet issues this year... I wonder if you know why Trash came down with Boss instead of Rico to do the swap? Stalin was already in a 2-seater and they don't give Boss those, so it makes sense it'd be left or right wing, but curious if the comms indicated why they chose the way they did.

    • @aerospacehorizons

@@AviationFreak1 Interesting. Best guess is it's the contingency for this so they don't have to decide on the fly. Also, might be something to do with training 3 to eventually be 4 where they've got to be much more flexible.

@@AviationFreak1 I had a chance to speak to Scott Goossens and specifically asked about this and it turns out there are a number of good reasons for it! ruclips.net/video/gfEfSwOeW7g/видео.htmlsi=A-DPs2EXcCLbJNZ5 he explains around 42 minutes in.

Curious why Stalin’s been in a fox variant two seater since el centro? Is her echo variant down for overhaul or have they made a permanent change to two seaters for the slot? Anyone hear anything?

I was there. I remember during the opposing 4-point roll, they didn't roll. Me and my dad looked at each other and shrugged. Then Boss Armatas' maintenance problem happened and during the initial fly over, my dad said, "Something happened. I hope one of them didn't go down." Me being the paranoid person I am, started to look around for black smoke because I didn't see the solos. Thankfully, it was just a small problem, they announced a delay and were able to resume the show after about 5 minutes. Hilariously, people started leaving at that point. I heard one guy say, "Welp, they quit. Let's go."
Glad we knew better. Glad everyone was ok and everything turned out alright. As John Foley would say, "Happy to be here."
Edit: Not gonna lie, I would have loved to hear the comms when Boss when the issue. Only to hear what he said when it happened.

I was one of those who left only because the rest of my family didn’t want to stay. I was so pissed. Watched the rest from the parking area. I too assumed at first something bad happened because they didn’t say anything for too long (though only several minutes). I was kinda glad to get home early though. So it wasn’t all on my family.

Research for Custodian File was started 3-29-2024 at 16:00hrs and completed on 3-29-2024 at 14:00 Total time 8hrs
The video was reviewed on a 50” Sony flat screen with keyboard control in a Chrome browser for full video control.
Investigator does not know the videographer.
Camera type:unknown. Lens: unknown Time: Afternoon
Film location: NAS JRB New Orleans
400 Russell Ave, Belle Chasse, LA 70143 USA
Found the following searching for UAP Dragons:
0:00 Top left to lower right for 13 frames SuperSonic speed?
0:34 From top right to lower left in 7 frames
4:13 From left to right in 39 frames as the second one ascends from the lineup and exits the top near the middle at 04:14.
5:06 Bottom left in 10 frames.
5:44 2 drop in from center top and exit right in 22 frames.
5:43 Note the clarity and slow speed of a bug flying to the lower right. It’s important to note the difference in characteristics and behavior.
7:53 Enters on the left seen in 12 frames.
8:36 From right side to top left in 38 frames.
9:20 From right side to top middle in 8 frames SS speed?
9:41 From bottom left to side left in 6 frames.
9:45 Left center to right center in 12 frames SS Speed.
    9:46 “ “ in 23 frames SS Speed.
    10:40 Lens bokeh example.
    11:06 Bird example.
11:18 Right to left in 15 frames.
11:55 Bird example. Note the slower speed.
12:25 Left to right in 44 frames SS speed.
14:25 Across the bottom under the bird in 8 frames, they tag birds also?
14:40 Under the exhaust plume from left to right in 23 frames before blending in with the trees. Emissions sampling?
    14:52 Almost a bird strike.
15:22 White fuzzy orb from left side to center bottom in 3 frames. Bokeh?
15:44 Undefyable, strange. in 2 frames.
    15:59 4 birds, 16:13 another bird example.
16:54 Top right to left side in 23 frames.
16:59 From right to left in 17 frames.
20:36 Top right to bottom center in 4 frames while the scene is in transition.
21:04 Bottom center to top center in 8 frames SS speed.
22:06 and 22:55 Lens bokeh examples.
23:01 From right to left across the top in 10 frames SS speed.
23:24 From top center to bottom in 64 frames.
24:59 Right side to bottom center in 43 frames, bird?
25:41 Top left to top right in 37 frames SS speed.
28:44 Top left to bottom right in 9 frames, Grade (A) example.
28:57 Right side to left in 25 frames SS speed. Note: Pulsating in and out of focus every other frame. Great identifier that dismisses bugs. Bugs are always clear when the camera is in focus. This observation shows focus stabilization problems do occur when UAP Dragons are present.
29:16 From right side to bottom left in 11 frames. Note how the planes in the distance and the banner in the foreground are in focus but the UAP is not. This is a good identifier most of the time.
29:29 From left to right in 35 frames, SS speed, pulsating focus, and typical recon behavior.
29:36 Middle top to left side in 21 frames, SS Speed and recon behavior.
30:53 Note this bird's speed and clarity of focus. Nothing like a UAP Dragon.
32:35 Right side to left side in 12 frames. Again, out of focus identifiers present.
33:18 From top to bottom left in 19 frames. Looks like a bee, but bees can only fly a max of 20 mph.
34:21 Lower right to upper left in 12 frames, speed and recon behavior.
    34:31 center bottom to top is a bird, 34:35 2 birds, 34:39 4 birds.
34:43 From left to right in 38 frames. Note: Taking samples of emissions and exhibiting recon behavior.
    34:45 Bird
37:52 Left middle to bottom right in 21 frames.
38:03 Top right to bottom left side in 46 frames, slower than usual and fading in and out of focus when the rest of the image focus is stable.
38:33 Top right corner in 7 frames
39:52 Left side to bottom middle in 3 frames SS speed.

UAP Dragons are small supersonic drones of unknown origin that were first discovered by Dr. Robert Shiepe of Marina Del Rey California in 2017. Many hours of observation show them exhibiting specific tracking behaviors indicative of a device that has been programmed to do so. Its purpose appears to be the evaluation of all flying objects above 150 feet. They are now being filmed all over the world, mostly found with modern camera systems that have a fast enough frame rate to see them because they are so fast. They have been clocked at speeds over 1700 mph. They appear to be programmed to ascend from a resting area or charging area on top of buildings or structures that offer a good view of the sky. When they ascend to investigate a target they have been shown to use X and K band radar for targeting and navigation. What data they collect is unknown, what they do with it is unknown. The cost of such a massive surveillance system boggles my mind. The technology they hold is worth trillions of dollars. Many Government agencies, private photographers and researchers are showing interest. Military, police, coastguard and others with aircraft have been filmed try to catch one or learn more about them. My job is reviewing as much video as possible to learn and teach others how to find them and distinguish the difference between bugs and other things in our skies. I study their behavior, methods of operation, where they are seen most, and any other information I can find to aid in trying to catch one for study. Most of what I find is given to Dr.Shiepe at Custodian File for review by the U.S. House Oversight and Accountability Subcommittee on UFOs. We need to know who made them, what their purpose is for the reconnaissance thay been filmed doing, and most of all the flight technology they use which is just incredible. As someone like yourself who likes to film aircraft, I think you'll find the subject just as intriguing as I do.

They don't turn off the smoke "for no god reason". They turn it off as an admission to themselves and the team that they are "out of position". Part of the self awareness, self critique philosophy. May not look like it to you or me, they have tight tolerances. Interesting that I didn't see any smoke off for this performance, don't think I have seen that before. Maybe they abandoned that procedure for shows this year. @@VAF_Airshows
