Wish the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds would do more shows without the music. I go to airshows to see and hear the planes, not Lee Greenwood. Saw the RAF's Red Arrows perform at MCAS Miramar a few years ago, did their whole show without music and playing the radio comms instead. It was one of the best I've experienced.
I will never ever ever never ever ever never ever EVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! get tired of watch tme. EVER. Thanks for sharing. Just awesome. We got to see them in Biloxi this year. Amazing
Great camera work, excellent comms, perfect weather conditions, and one of the most solid performances I’ve seen the team do in a number of years. This 2018 production is something special. Thanks for posting!
I've had the pleasure of seeing these guys twice in the last two years in Brunswick George and Waco Texas. I'd go watch them everyday if I could. Fantastic show.
I’m blessed to live less than an hour from Pensacola their home People there get to watch them practice often I’ve been on the Pensacola beach and had watched them fly low down the beach in formation
Noticed they switched to a high show mid way through since the clouds cleared, and then at 16:51, #5 flew the split-s straight through a cloud! 🤣 Great footage!
13:53 so difficult. Head cranked 90 degrees and all of the angles are so aligned so it's easy to tell if someone is out of place on the ground. Not to mention they probably do line abreast formations very little in regular missions. Then you get a little fast, or a little out of position, and you're suddenly upside down disoriented trying to correct it. Not many people realize how hard that one is!
Ducking AWESOME! Just watched chicago air show-I’m still standing on shore marveling at what I saw. I want to see a doc on how they are trained. This is amaaaaaazing.
When in the shuttle on a carrier take off, a flight control check is performed...if the nose wheel steering is active, it makes for a bad day when locked in the shuttle and a rudder check (with corresponding nose wheel movement) is performed....could rip the steering actuators off their mounts . The other 474 things i choose not to address...lol! love you!
I've seen the Blue Angels over a dozen times in my life. Undoubtedly impressive. Anyone else think they need some new maneuvers though? Besides maybe 2 new things I've seen the same show for the last 25 years.
FINALLY the Blue Angels are coming within a 2 hour drive from me! Havent seen them since I was a kid on Jones Beach. I hope I can afford the tickets, but most importantly I hope our country is healthy enough for the show to go on. The Thunderbirds AND the F22 Demo team are performing around 4 hours drive away from me. That’s the show I would really love to see.
Man I remember seeing these guys when I was 10 years old at Lakehurst Naval Base when they had an airshow there I believe that was 18 years ago or longer and I'm 28 now it was probably the coolest thing I've ever seen I will never forget that day🤘💪‼️
I have never been to an Airshow where they didn't play Motley Crue KickStart my heart. And no im not complaining. One of the best choices of music for this event
As a small boy I was cutting grass in a field next to my home place.I already had a healthy love of Aircraft from toy to real thing. Like out of a dream I thought I seen a Blue Angel Jet in disbelief the mower shut off, and like a Dream come true I did see not one but all of the Blue Angels flying over my house back and forth, it was like a Private Air Show I couldn't ever believe it would happen! Not in the know of up coming air show at Donaldson airport! U cemented the love for flight that day! American Super Heroes and Best thing ever for me to ever got Blessed to see,
Charles...I was probably 8-9 years old out playing in my yard when a single Blue flew directly over head fairly low. How could this happen in Pocatello Idaho in the early 60's??? I knew what it was, because my DAd and brother in law took me to airshows before I could walk! We are both lucky to have those memories!
Hello from Australia. From: John Woodall To me as I said in comments on a Blue Angel's site not long ago tonight 04/08 heading into Friday 05/08 2022. I said it a little while ago and I will say it again having just watched Two Clips of the Song "" Dreams "" by Van Halen and both featured on one the A4 Skyhawk the Other the F18 Hornet. These Pilots and their Ground Crews and not Forgetting Fat Albert and her Crew are the Very Best that their is along with the USAF Thunderbirds. As I said before this in no way disrespectful of all Military Aviators and Commercial Pilots, They are all Highly Skilled People. What these Gentlemen of the Blue Angels U.S.Navy Display Team and those of the USAF Thunderbirds are a cut above and that which Military Aviators would Love to Aspire to be yet Ever So Humble when Interviewed. These are Men and I Believe their Maybe a Female Blue Ange Pilot, You Go Girl, Or as we say here in Australia You Go You Good Thing not wanting to say thing but that's just Australian Slang and Congratulations. These Persons as I say are the Epitome of Perfection in the Sky. lets say you are chilling out at beach watching the airshow then some of them are gone and then you Chiil in the sand and then you hear Nosie then you look right or left the you see 5 or 6 Comeing fast at you but before it passes you hear fast air or just look at 13:14
Not going to lie after #1 retires he can do scary movie voices. Kind of creepy just saying. Although I do know they have a method, that is flawless. By far they are best of the best.
does there exist a list of airshow venues and how they are set up, re: how the headliner parks and how it is to watch the load up? Such as: Traverse City, over water, parks at XXXX airport Mt Comfort, parks at Indy airport Battle Creek, parks on site but waaaaaaaaaaaay over there, no way to watch load up Selfridge, MI, parks on site, you can either watch the load up or be on the show crowd line Terre Haute, parks in front of the crowd but perpedicular to it, load up challenge to see XXXXXXXXX, parks in front of crowd, pointed towards crowd, load up perfect to see
What’s the pre-flight stimulant for the Angels? In the 90s the Thunderbirds would take uppers, others needed downers before the flight. Same as the pilots deployed.
I’m watching the Blue Angels fly over my house as I watch this. The Pacific Air Show is going on here in Huntington Beach, California now. I got some great test-run footage the day before the show started! Impressive video but the whispering guy kind of creeped me out. Lol!!
Poll: If you were given the opportunity for a ride along with the Blue Angels and were given the choice of riding with Blue Angel 1 or Blue Angel 6, who would you choose?
God bless all the men and women who have served, and are currently serving our great nation to keep us all safe. Never forget the ones who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we hold so dear. God Bless America 03/15/2020
The “whistle” sound your hearing is commonly referred to as the “blue note”. During low altitude passes, the compressor and turbo whine is more audible compared to being at a higher altitude. This sound is almost impossible to hear at high altitude due to the frequency of the pitch and how the sound usually gets washed out by the massive afterburner. In movies, they add it in during post production to add excitement but the real deal “blue note” in person sounds so much better. Scary to hear if you were the enemy. But badass to hear if you were in person. (I know the comment is 5y old at this point but still wanted to share my information).
Solos ready to rock Terre Haute, Boss! Boss, we're cleared for takeoff. The winds are calm. Check your parking brake off, check your trim set, check your nose wheel steering on. Maneuver: Diamond half squirrel cage, left turn out {Pilots each say their callsigns to confirm they're ready) Diamond have clears on nine; let's fire it up for the good people of Terre Haute, Indiana

You had me at "no music" great video.
They're amazing I seen them fly between the buildings in Chicago never miss a show 👍💯🤩
@@briancorrell4227 I used to live in Lincoln Park. My friends and I would go downtown just to see that.

@Nuckis That's not the sneak pass
13:05 I love how you know exactly when the "Sneak Pass" is coming. Great video!
It never gets old
I will never ever ever never ever ever never ever EVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! get tired of watch tme. EVER. Thanks for sharing. Just awesome. We got to see them in Biloxi this year. Amazing
Holy Tight!! At 5:10.....#3 is tucked right up under Boss's Wing! That's what make them the BEST Flight Demo Team in the World!!
When your good; your good.
Spectacular video! Thanks for posting! I love the videos without the music, because the engines are music enough!
100%
These guys were my inspiration to get into flying when I watched them as a toddler
The Armadilliest One - these guys were my inspiration to become a pastry chef.......
Great camera work, excellent comms, perfect weather conditions, and one of the most solid performances I’ve seen the team do in a number of years. This 2018 production is something special. Thanks for posting!
Greatest piece of choreography ever created.
This quality makes me so happy
I don't understand it, watching these guys makes me emotional. I just love them, Thunderbirds too.
This Boss has a rather creepy cadence voice lol........I can hear him saying "Howwwwwww about a littllllleeeeeeee cannnnnndy"
Those boys are studs, smart, athletic, Patriots what more could you ask for.....
the cadence and voice actually have something to do with instruction, such as speed of maneuver
@@LongDistanceLobotomy Yeah, the leader says things slowly to help the others focus so they can stay in formation.
They have their maneuvers practiced and chair flown to that cadence so that they know exactly what they’re doing on each beat of each extended word.
Hahah yes
holy crap that is is the best show and video i've ever seen...thank you..
I've had the pleasure of seeing these guys twice in the last two years in Brunswick George and Waco Texas. I'd go watch them everyday if I could. Fantastic show.

FINALLY... It's only taken 18 years fro someone to upload this video to RUclips.
Great work as always, sir. Thank you.
Fantastic. These guys are unbelievable and really really good.
It's been way too long since I've watched these guys in person. Always gives me goosebumps.
Watched the Blue Angeles and Thunderbirds for years. That's one of the tightest Dimonds I've seen. Good stuff
I LOVE THE ANGELS, BEEN WATCHING THEM SINCE THE 50'S, GREAT SHOW EVERY TIME.

I love the F/A-18 Hornet
Just found this. No music is fantastic and I have never heard the 'whine' of those GE F404's so intensely. Great video!!
I love listening to the boss’s comms. I think it is cool he can speak even while pulling a lot of G’s.
no music?? at 5:55 that sax solo is absolutely the Matoma Remix of Biggie's Old Thing Back feat. Ja Rule. Great song thouhg.
Lucky to see them practice over the house and it never gets old.

there were some insane sounding howls and blue notes coming from the jets. WOW!
I've seen the Blue Angels over a dozen times in my life. Undoubtedly impressive. Anyone else think they need some new maneuvers though? Besides maybe 2 new things I've seen the same show for the last 25 years.
They'll be transitioning to the Super Hornet in a couple of years... hopefully they'll change things up when that happens.
They changed the 6 takeoff post-Kooch and the Super Hornet will give them more options.
It's a matter of safety. After the crash it was decided to keep their routine as risk free as possible
They should bring back some of the old maneuvers. Look up videos of the Angels from the 70s or early 80s. Much more exciting show.
Despite that, it never gets OLD like my wife does.
Breathtaking and perfect maneuvers. Thank you so much.❤❤❤😊
KICK ASS!!! I've watched every practice and this one has the best audio connected to my surround sound!! THANKS!!
My life goal is to ride along with them once it would be incredible im sure!!

Liked the Diamond Dirty Roll. Dont see that to often.
Why is one of the people in the main diamond speaking in what sounds like a loud whisper.
Moooooooooooooore Power.....
Makes my go nadss tingle
I see some of the maneuvers are done with wheels down. How does that help them? Much admiration to them all and ground team.
They’re called dirty maneuvers, it’s just for the show. It means gears and arresting hooks down.

Blue angels just because I like f 18 hornets more😂
