Thanks for the video. I have the BBP and am curious how much different the taste is with an upgraded grinder versus the built in one. Great if you could help describe the difference you saw in taste. Thanks!
I own a Barista Express and a DF 64p. The grinder is awesome, but it's huge. I didn't change out the dosing cup to match the portafilter, but I did find that my funnel works well with the factory DF 64 dosing cup. I would assume it's similar to what the 54 ships with.
Thank you for video I was curious about this grinder. I also have the pro and am wondering if it’s worth the upgrade or to just stick with the pro grinder??
Thanks for making wonderful reviews. I bought this grinder after watching this review. I would like to watch your live shows but I don't know much about you tube. What are the times your live. Thank you
What happened to the rubber piece that would hold the dosing cup. I have pre ordered and was under the impression it came with that to hold the dosing cup?
I have been very interested in the DF54 grinder. My concern is the capacity of the catch cup. I like to grind 38grams of medium or dark roast coffee for my travel mug in the morning. Can you tell me how many grams approximately the catch cup will hold of a dark roast without spilling over onto the counter while grinding the coffee. I want to purchase a grinder and catch cup combo that will fit my needs. I mainly drink pour overs but occasionally make espresso.
True, I have a DF54 and it seems way slower than a DF64 second edition but....who cares? Does it grind the way it should? Yes, and that is all that matters@@MikeroWav3
It does if you give the paper a small water spritz before loading ground into it. I give it a spritz to prevent channeling as well. It primes the filter so that everything flows optimally.

That was a beautiful shot. I'd be so stoked if I saw that coming out of my casabrews 3700 machine.

I also hear that the X54 is easier to adjust from espresso back to drip and other methods if that is important to you.

The people want another shirt Hoon. Give the people what they want! Love my T-shirt btw lol

it'll hold 38g no problem. its the same cup that the df64 uses, minus the dosing collar
How is the noise level overall … meaning morning time!
It’s quieter than most models, but it takes a while to finish grinding.

The shaking doesnt work if you are using a paper at the bottom of the portafilter

Great video!!! Hoon you rock!!! Love your channel I learn so much from you ☕️😎👍🏽
Blind shaker is not the same with just a dosing cup, you need the bell for distribution
Thank you Hoon
