  • ► Hello guys and welcome back to Mystery Scoop. In this series we are looking at individual historical figures of famous people (historical portraits) being colorized, whilst digitally manipulating them using various Artificial Intelligence tools for educational entertainment. You'll see them smiling, getting younger, getting older, gender change, hair style change and other facial AI animations. Enjoy!
    Featured in this video:
    Maude Adams
    (11 Nov 1872 - 17 Jul 1953, Aged 80)
    Photograph: c.1890s
    commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Fi...
Known as the most famous and highest-paid American actress of her time.
Her acting career began at age five and continued working in theatre throughout her childhood. Her most famous works as an actress were in a series of plays written by J.M. Barrie, including The Little Minister, Quality Street, and What Every Woman Knows. In 1905 she originated the role of Barrie's Peter Pan on Broadway. The critical acclaim that she received for the play prompted her to reprise the role several times. This included several touring productions, one of which took stage at the Valentine Theater in Toledo in 1916.
In her later years she worked as a drama teacher and as the head of the drama department at Stephens College in Missouri. Adams remained a teacher until 1943 when she decided to retire permanently. At the age of eighty she succumbed to a bout with pleurisy. Adams died at her summer home in New York on July 17, 1953. She never married.

@@judithmitchell4667 Richard Matheson was a student at U. Missouri the same time elderly Maude Adams was teaching drama at Stephens. They were within walking distance of each other, and he never knew it and apparently never met her. Only twenty years later when he coincidentally saw her photo (and then researched the book he would write based on it) did this fact become known. But you can be sure when he found out about that strange coincidence, he concocted the "Young college student Richard meets Old Elise" scene in the book. Truth is weirder than fiction.

@@TheLokiBiz Dressing up as a man is one thing but to LOOK like a guy is something I don't think she'd like. Also one of the reasons women/girls would play male roles is because it gave them a chance to show off their legs. Back in the day, talking about legs or showing them was considered scandalous. Depending on who you asked, legs were either the most sensuous part of the body or the most obscene. It's not an exaggeration that (most) people were shocked at seeing a woman's ankle. 😏

I very much understand, how Matheson was inspired to write his novel from seeing her picture. Not only was she a talented actress, she also supported others by supplementing their salaries from her own. In later years, she also became a stage lighting engineer and co-invented and patented a new type of light bulb in 1931.

What amazes me is when you take these historic figures from over 100 years ago and give them modern hair, makeup, etc. - it really changes how you see the person and their actual beauty.

No wonder this hauntingly beautiful creature’s face became the premise of a book, then a film…years after her death! Somewhere in Time remains the most beautiful and tragic depiction of lost love ever filmed! Her beauty will forever be frozen in time in photographs for the admiration of generations to come ❤️

Maude Adams was stunningly gorgeous! 🌹💘 I did not know of her until I watched this. She died two years to the month of July in which my beloved wife was born. Reflect on this: she was of a generation of which no one is still alive. 😢 In my beliefs, she and billions of others in the Memorial Tombs in the memory of Jehovah God will be brought back to life; and not just through AI animations. What a beautiful woman she was! It makes me wonder what sort of lovely and loving person she was, during her 80 years? My father Edwin was the youngest of 12 children of Polish immigrants and had 9 sisters and 2 brothers. Likely, some of them were born in the 1880's and 1890's, just a decade or two after Maude Adams. I am kind of sad that Ms. Adams never married, because she would have produced beautiful babies. 😢🤗 In the blessed day that Ms. Adams is resurrected, I wonder if this video will still exist for her to see it? These videos sort of freak-out my wife, but I find them to be fascinating! This brought tears to my eyes, and the beautiful piano music help set the stage for that. Kudos and thanks to Mystery Scoop! 👏👏👏 I can see why so many thousands of people watch these! 💕💕

Well on that day that this happens, 1 Thessalonians 4:16, For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive, who remain, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord." I will not be worrying about RUclips. It says "the heavens and earth will be destroyed by fire". I will be praising the Lord. I know I am ready as I have confessed my sins and turn from them. I look forward to the sky splitting open and seeing the Lord coming to get me. I do really hope she made things right with the Lord and is there as well.

02:45 ❤ melts. That moment ' somewhere in time ' deserves a special artistic ✨ RUclips award.favourite sequence I m o, ♥ thank you, great 📹 work . Ps,. If you ever have time to do another in depth transformation of Maude Adams. It would fascinating to see a nexus of ai tech and morphing software, using the photos of her as a child to later in her life, 😉 ' smile though your heart is breaking ' Charles Chaplin, now there's a subject ...Mr Chaplin and his wife and Co star. Paulette Goddard. 🙂

It's really too bad that NO old movies (even clips or partials from one!) seem still to exist - only an radio audio with part of her voice can be heard? This seems such a shame!

I have never heard the name Maude until Bea Arthur played Edith Bunker’s cousin in “All in the Family”. I love the move “Somewhere in Time” and in one scene where he wakes up in an occupied room, the husband calls out to his wife in another room….”Maude!!” I wonder if that was a small tribute to Maude Adams?
