Oh Iam.. i've been at the hospital today with my father n law and mother n law. They are in their 80's. Dad has stage 4 kidney disease among other serious condiitions and was in the hospital last week for a few days. So this morning his wife tried to stand up and fell in pain. She went by ambulance (she's also got Dementia that's undocumented) so i went to the hospital and it was SOO hard. Then i come home as i'm very emotional right now and pull up youtube and i see this! Just makes me wanna cry. My own parents are in their 70's and live in England (i'm in Oregon) and i haven't been able to see them in 15 years. My pops has mobility issues and mom has crippling arthritis. This is the hardest part of growing up.. watching love ones come and go. I know your dad is with you Iam and your family. He is gone but never forgotten. You singing, your dad is right next to ya. God Bless. Aloha.

This song has changed my life. I lost my dad a year and a half ago. I've tried to be strong, put on a brave face, and tell myself and everyone I am okay, but I am not. This song has opened up those fresh feelings of losing my dad and made me realize I have been "too strong" and "too guarded" I've been trying to protect myself from feeling and from mourning. I grew up watching American Idol with my parents. My dad loved music to his core, he would have loved you Iam. This song has allowed me to break past a barrier I put up. This song has changed my life. I lost my dad a year and a half ago. I've tried to be strong, put on a brave face, and tell myself and everyone I am okay, but I am not. This song has opened up those fresh feelings of losing my dad and made me realize I have been "too strong" and "too guarded" I've been trying to protect myself from feeling and from mourning. I grew up watching American Idol with my parents. My dad loved music to his core, he would have loved you Iam. This song has allowed me to break past a barrier I put up. I will forever be grateful for this song as it has allowed me to experience how I really feel deep inside. Alone without my dad.
