Lots of amazing covers, and originals for a band that's only been together since 2019, much of which struggling through the covid lockdown to get their content out there..Most other bands had already had some established roots prior, through live concerts, MVs and albums.. Thanks for the stellar reaction/review !.. Hope you do many more.. they have a very recent set of live videos out..Oiran. Sieze the Fate, Zen. Would be my next picks from them..
You know that the drummer has 2 kids and the singer has one child but it doesn't slow them down at all. Rise Revive Sorai and Oiran are my favourite songs. They are renowned for their covers that are really popular and get a shit ton of views and they have just released an EP of the latest 4 covers. My favourite is Shimi but I like all of them even make you happy and the banana song. Band-maid are rock not metal but they are a great band you should check them out. Try Dice or Blooming or if you would like a mournful song about covid try About Us. Band-maid are experts in setting up their sound stage and sound great live and some of the live clips have subtitles.

Don't forget the Drummer Tamu and the singer Mayu ar both Mom's with children under 5 Do some more, there is alot to see.. Their covers are off the chain!! Thanks for concert review from Nagoya! I’m so jealous. I saw these ladies three times on their US tour and they are fantastic. I’m not used to seeing Japanese be as enthusiastic as the crowd in (I believe Nagoya). However, I haven’t attended a concert this heavy in Japan either, so maybe it’s normal. No circle pits for these ladies, just moshing. I did notice a couple of Westerners in the short clip Saki posted on X. It was a different view than the posted Short on their RUclips channel. I’ll have to go back and look for the facial hair. ❤️🌸

Nothing is perfect. However, this band is perfect. I kind of wish SAKI could have kept Mary's Blood going too as it was a little more of a showcase for her shredding but it would have been too much to juggle. If I can only have one of her bands it has to be Nemophila.
This song is good, as is the MV, but that's kinda expected from Nemophila. And even though their MV's are fun to watch, they kill it live, especially Zen, which probably, and most likely, is my favorite Nemophila song, and the live version is 🔥Mayu is relentless in Zen, even more so than in Dissension.

Nice reaction, really nice observations. Nemophila are a great band. These women have such a variety of influences, and it shows in all their songs. Examples. Guitarist Hazuki on the left is a huge Arch Enemy fan. Bassist Haraguchi San a huge Slipknot fan. Singer Mayu a huge David Grohl, Foo Fighters fan. Drummer Murata Tamu is a huge Dream Theater, Opeth fan, a Portnoy fan. She even has a few Dream Theater covers on drums.

I recommend listening to BAND-MAID, another female band from Japan that has gained a lot of fans in the USA in recent years. I recommend starting with the last song released, Shambles
I am so jealous of you being able to see these girls !!!!!!! I am a huge Band Maid fan and I just recently got to see them on 8/23. I was not a big metal fan until I heard Nemophia.....this band is an all star line up up of some of the best female metal musicians in Japan. Their guitarist are considered prodigy's and the drummer is one of the best female drummers in the world !!!!!! And don't get me started on the vocals.....Mayu is absolutely incredible !!!!! And your right....they are all so tiny !!!!! Check out their new song Hypnosis ......my new FAV !!!!!
Now go to BAND-MAID and listen to anything by them. The newer songs are harder than their beginning songs. I do recommend live versions. I saw them in Seattle in 2022 and they were awesome!

The first time i heard this song and she dropped into that scream i was hooked. Her clean voice remeinds me of Stevie Nicks a bit. Love this band.

Dissension is a good song, but My fave is definitely Adabana. what a banger, with a great message as well.
