Hey Charlie! You can actually access the full quick panel settings from the top left or right with a two finger swipe down, no additional settings to turn on needed.
I hate that the quick panel become all gray and if you want it to change it it breaks the desing that oneUI 5.1 had

@akilasamarasinghe4964 Much better than before for sure. I easily get between 2-3 days on a single charge. I don't game at all, but just get on social media, emails, calls, and texts, basically your Normal everyday use.

@@Fruittloops no issues with screen burn. Might be a select few devices that have that issue but only a few and nothing to do with the update.

Actually i don't like the new design of quick panel because I can't change those four longer buttons(wifi, bluetooth, smart view, device control) as what I prefer to use, but your video still helps alot, thanks!🎉

i have one issue with the update. when i take a photo , i can not apply filters. just when i am taking the photo. not after.
After update to version 6.0 I miss the "image processing" option in the gallery, does anyone know where I can find it now?
I hope they put pro res dolby vision video , and Google AI features , better low light video , crash detection , and emergency satellite features in the s24 ultra . Also micro sd card wouldnt hurt or 2 tb phone internal storage
I was hoping to see generative ai wallpaper, but looks like its exclusive to pixel phones.
According to the leaks, One UI 6.1 (which will probably launch together with S24) is suppsed to be packed with a lot of AI features, including chatbots simillar to chatgpt
I doubt about the dolby vision video…I mean samsung is one of the maker of HDR10+ but AI and other features we will see it to the future galaxy devices.
The best what happent is the the system storage decrease form over 50 GB to 17 GB

im on s23 fe and the issue that I'm facing with this android 14 is the battery life. i noticed that the battery drains a lil faster than android 13. and the second issue is this phone gets hot faster than usual

I just upgraded to UI6, however, there are many problems or features not available on my S22+
1. After upgrade the QuickStar's "Quick settings instant access" is no longer working.
Can you plz suggest what to do to get this work, as I dont want to go to the top corner every time I want to open it fully.
2. Most of the camera upgrades like - Auto FPS options, Swipe up and down on/off etc are not available.
Hey, QuickStar's 'Quick settings instant access' has now been integrated into One UI 6, you dont need QuickStar for that feature anymore, i've demonstrated this in the video.
Auto FPS has a separate menu now, although not sure if S22 Plus has this or not.

Has anyone else experienced problems with the notification bar being all grey and bright and taking up ALL of the screen? It used to be transparent and only taking up 1/4 - 1/3 of the screen 😢

Why do I need to swipe up three times to get out of settings instant access, which I can pull down in one swipe, is what I want to know.
Is there a way to put the brightness control at the bottom of the drop down/quick access menu? Just did the update and not having it at the bottom is terrible. I could also live without smart view and device control, any way to remove those?
Hey I just spent couple of minutes trying to figure this exact thing out! But could not find a way to get the brightness slider at the bottom of the screen!! I hope GoodLock impliments a way to move it to the bottom.
Dang alright, I appreciate your effort and response! I don't like or use auto brightness and sometimes I forget to turn it up before it gets bright out and it was really convenient to know I could do it without having to struggle to see where the slider was. Just something I'm gonna have to get used to I suppose.

Hello Charlie, I have a question... I have a Verizon locked S23 Ultra, and it just let me know the Android 14 update is ready to go. Before I hit the button to get the update underway, I was just wondering....roughly speaking, how long it will the update take to complete?
The update takes about 10 minutes, hope this helps.

What region? It came out in the US this week starting with T-Mobile.
Some of the things you are showing, are not available (yet???) in Phones lower than S23. I have an S22, and the remove unwanted object at the take automatic document photo, or the photo leveling in grid mode are missing, although UI6.0 has been installed.
That is strange, why would they not include these features 🤔
@@TechGuyCharlie for the same reason why they do not include 360 Audio recording and Bluetooth LE Standard although hardwarewise the a s22 phone would be capable to fully run them. The s23 sales must be pushed

Its the color of the wallpaper, i've set it through the color pallette.. long press on the screen and go to wallpaper & Style then color palette.

Hmmm.... I started watching your video (nice detailed explanations) and I checked and my UI 6 update for S23 Ultra was waiting for me. So I installed it. Now I have a device that isn't working? No screen no nothing. Any suggestions?
Oh no.. Something went wrong during the update process I guess. No other option but to take it to Samsung and have them re-flash One UI 6 on it. Something like this happened to one of my Sony Xperia phones almost 8 years ago.
@@TechGuyCharlie Fortunately I was able to get my phone back working again (credit to Payette Forward, David and David).
It seemed to me my phone was hard bricked but as they described it may not be. What I needed to do was hold the Power button and Vol Up button not for 5-10 secs but for at least 30 (long) seconds. The Samsung logo appeared and the phone did it's thing and it's all good now. I was probably in a state of panic to begin with and counted a quick 30 secs but it needs to be a long 30secs.
I hope this may come useful for someone else in the future if they find themselves in this predicament.

I just want one thing... resize the icons on the home screen. It's too big now
personally I would be worried blocking software updates over USB might make the phone unrecoverable should something happen.
I think It will be unrecoverable without USB blocker as well. I ran into a similar situation where the display of my old Note 10+ turned completely green, and there is no way of recovering the data off USB without unlocking the phone (entering your unlock pass/pin, tried ADB, 3rd party software, none worked.
The repositioning and sizing of the clock on the lock screen is not an option on AT&T Samsung Phones...I have an 22 Ultra and can't do this...AT&T does not give us full control of most new features 😢

How do I change the notifications panel when I drag it down its transparent it used to be dark I can only see my apps in background
Strange, its dark on my phone. Could you switch to the default theme and see if that fixes the problem.

USA hasn't gotten the official 6.0 One Ui update yet. I am still on beta 9 on my 23 ultra. This beta is the same as official but wish we had official update already

Are the icons on OneUi 6 somewhat bigger than in 5.1? Or are my eyes playing tricks on me?
They are indeed bigger! Just compaired side by side with Note 20 Ultra running 5.1
@@TechGuyCharlie Thank you very much for looking this up and your reply. I liked the sizes of the icons in 5.1. more. Same with the notifications in quick panel, too (prefer the 5.1. version). I hope, they'll provide some possibilities in GoodLock soon or with the next OneUi update to adjust icons and notifications in quick panel. Didn't find anything to adjust the sizes.

I've seen this exact same thing yesterday with Instagram! it got fixed by re-logging into my account.
I dont like the one ui 6 battery graph, i liked it better with the screen offtime.

I prefer One UI 6, its easier to use and can take 200mp photos at any aspect ratio.

May I suggest going to Samsung store and trying Z-Flip 5 out for yourself? that way you will have a good idea on how the phone is actually like.

I have the biggest issue with this update and the worst one so far I use galaxy m33 5g
No doubt the notification and all is good
But the icons in the recents tab and in the folders is increased so much ..its like using a kids phone
And the animations are really really hard ..the folder, recents tab, closing an app, deleting a photo, getting a notification and more these things do not have a soft animation in my phone ..overall look of the phone is great but the animation and the apps icon segment is the worst
I've never wanted to roll back an update so bad. If I wanted an iphone, I'd use iphone. I hate all the transparent background crap, stupid tool buckets in my notification shade, and OMG THE VOLUME ROCKER!!! Why in the world would they do this to the volume rocker? It used to be you could adjust the volume in steps by tapping the button, or hold it to continue raising the volume. Now, when you press and hold, it only goes up one increment, then you have to wait like 1.5-2 more seconds- STILL HOLDING THE VOLUME BUTTON DOWN- for it to RESUME adjusting the volume. Its less predictable than the lousy electric windows in my car that always want to roll ALL the way down, even when I just want a crack.
Edit: I just noticed the re-implimentation of a hotspot quick tile. So that makes one thing- and one thing only- they changed for the better. I turn hotspot on and off several times a day, so this is nice to have. Unfortunately they TOOK AWAY the dark mode quick tile, which I use just as often. Wtf...

I have 1 flaw in the one ui 6.0, the icon has become ridiculously big, how can I fix this using the setting without using goodlock?😔
You can change how many buttons per row in the home screen settings that will effectively change the button size as well. But what's wrong with Goodlock?
@@hitmanhatton thank you for info, but I actually prefer my 4x6 layout, bcs of that I ask. And for the goodlock by change the icon size, I cant apply color palate to app icon and also it affect the homescreen app also. I know it is not a major issue but as I have spend so much on this phone, I think it is a big problem as it is not as I like it to be.
Playstore not working keeps crashing. Phone is hanging too. Not happy with the new update
Literally zero issues on on my end, not sure what might cause play store to crash, but I would suggest a factory reset.

Hey, the quick setting instant access works only if you swipe from the top corner of the screen, swiping from the middle will open it partially.
On secure folder, Gmail, chrome etc don't work
Brother help me my s23 ultra after one UI 6.0 update automatically turning in to golden colour after 10 pm and getting back to normal at 7 am morning I even turned off eye comfort mode and all colour things but it's keep repeating everyday I am hating my screen becoming golden colour every day
Hey, could you checked routines? Maybe eye comfort shield is configured to switch on automatically in routines.

@TechGuyCharlie the new update messing with my goodlock app,the row icon don't work,only allows 4 now even when on goodlock I have it set to 9,the folder dont work either,home screen and lock screen turns all black,my app thing goes back to normal,instead of how it is in goodlock,everything just tweaking

How to hide smart view and device control buttons
I dont think there is an option to hide those, wish Samsung would add an option to hide them.
When for S22 ultra ?
Probably by the end of this month, wont take them long now.
